Great workmanship, friendly, and professional! Did an awesome job repairing the cane on my chairs. We're lucky to have one of the few artisans left who can do this work.

The best around. My parents had their chairs redone when I lived at home and now I’ve had my own dining room chairs redone over twenty years later. Thanks for being an honest and hardworking man in a world of shortcuts and laziness.

I brought in an old caned chair with a broken seat that my husband dragged out of his parents' basement because he thought it was an heirloom. Getting it repaired was definitely Plan C, behind Rumpke and a rummage sale! But thanks to the Chair Repair Shoppe, the chair has been beautifully recaned and restored to its original condition. Yes, it is an heirloom.

The Chair Repair Shoppe has done a wonderful job restoring antique furniture for my mother, so I ended up taking a rocking chair that had the caning broken years ago. The owner of the shop did a beautiful job repairing and matching the color of the caning. Just talking to him, one understands that he is truly passionate about the work he is doing and understands how to work with and restore furniture from antique to contemporary pieces. Very reasonable prices as well!

Tiny place filled to the brim with chairs and other furniture in various states of repair. The man who runs the place also makes furniture- the pieces I saw were beautiful. I don't know if he makes them to order or not. I brought in a part of my futon frame that had cracked. He wasn't sure how quickly he would be able to get to it as he had many current projects. After I told him I had family coming to visit and they'd need to sleep on the futon, and he saw that for someone who knows what they're doing it was a very simple repair, he had it done very quickly. The work was expertly done and reasonably priced, and I now recommend this place to anyone who needs furniture repair. A word of warning- if you suffer from asthma, etc., the place is (quite understandably) pretty dusty. I noticed this on my first visit but also noticed that my piece was utterly gleaming when I came to pick it up. Just another sign of the attention to detail you'll get at The Chair Repair Shoppe.
