Recently at a semi formal event, my significant other wore a hat that absolutely stole the show. That hat came from Batsakes. The fact that this business has been around since 1907 needs the upmost respect.
Please stay in business. Timeless gems like Basakes needs the top recognition.

Disappointing Experience
I recently visited this hat store in downtown Cincinnati, and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. Having been a customer many years ago, I was excited to explore the new location.
Upon entering, I was greeted by a disinterested owner engrossed in his phone, while the woman behind the counter seemed more concerned about security than assisting a potential customer. Attempting to strike up a conversation was met with indifference from the owner, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere.
I appreciate the tradition of a mom-and-pop shop, but the lack of personal attention and customer service was disappointing. The essence of an old-fashioned hat store, where custom work and genuine interactions matter, seemed lost.
While the selection may be noteworthy, the overall experience left much to be desired. I hope the store can consider improving customer engagement and recapturing the charm that makes hat shopping at establishments like these unique.

Moved locations but kept every bit of charm and excellent customer service. Found the perfect hat for style and travel. The selection was impressive for a fellow who wears a 62.

Such a great experience. Met the owner Gus who couldn’t have been nicer . He wouldn’t talk to us while he was helping his current customer which is as it should be . When he did talk to us he was lovely and told us the story of his relationship with Pavarotti . He is 90 and the store has been there since 1907 . They spent so much time with me, finding my size and letting me try on all the absolutely beautiful hats until I found the perfect one that looked great . For effect they ask you if you want a feather . How great is that! If you are in Cincinnati this is a must visit .
