Have used Russel Gibson For 19 years both for my family's personal finance and business accounting and taxes and he's always been fine . Not exceptional . Not bad . Fine . That was until it was time for him to put his money where his mouth was and help me navigate a tax audit that was brought on by knowingly answering IRS worksheets incorrectly and .... No answer ! To calls or text for about 13 months! Then since I know things happen , we came back at tax time and he answers . Long enough to collect all of my family's information and then he's unreachable again . Time after time , day after day until I try him on Memorial Day and this guy has the nerve to be angry because I'm calling on a holiday and " he deserves a day off too !" Well if you answer even 10 months out of the year I probably wouldn't bother you on a holiday , clown . Life being life and here I am 6 months later and the guy has stated he's finished now that he has me completely over a barrel with the IRS, knows I've not got a penny back and sends me a $600 bill in September for services rendered that was automatically being deducted from the taxes he completely and carelessly sabotaged . so much for that other line he used which is " if u don't get paid , we don't get paid " worthless doesn't even cut it because he's done such extensive damage and jumped ship its anyone's guess how this will end . Probably not well for either of us I guess . probably better look elsewhere if your looking for a decent CPA . Jeff McBride , former 19 year loyal customer

Russell Gibson met with us, took ALL of our personal information, previous year taxes, agreed to keep our company books and file our taxes and then ghosted us. We have been trying to reach him for a month. He hasn't responded to voicemail messages, emails, texts, nothing. DO NOT TRUST

Russell Gibson of Freedom Tax Service is unethical, unprofessional and he does not deserve your business. Please SKIP and use another service. We have had to file a formal IRS complaint due to his business misconduct. Pandemic aside, he neglected his loyal clients and made them feel unheard. He made me wait til the last possible moment, and now I have to file an extension because the deadline is July 15, 2020 and I'M STILL WAITING FOR MY ORIGINAL PAPERWORK.......

Absolutely horrible experience! Had an appointment twice and had to wait over an hour to be seen! Wasn’t prepared and didn’t even remember who we were between appointments! Lost my file.. Very unprofessional. Front desk was talking about drinking. DO NOT GO HERE!!
