“Last time I came here (96), the course was very young but still tough and beautiful. It had a double wide trailer for a club house. Now it has a beautiful clubhouse and the course is still tough as can be. Greens were fast but did hold. Rough was lush but not overbearing. Most of the bunkers were in great shape and sand was still good quality bunker sand. I did notice that some of the fairway bunkers were unkept, I'm guessing either letting them grow over or turning them into waste bunkers? There were a ton of trees that were down from the recent tornado that went through. This did open up a couple of the holes. Emphasis is still set on a good drive to score well here, usually not a lot of trouble on drives. Greens well guarded, large, and fast. Once we teed off we never saw another group of golfers until we were done. Pete would be very happy with the state of the course today. I do miss all the railroad ties that once were all over the course. The only negative thing I can say about my visit, was that there was an elderly gentleman in the clubhouse where we checked in and he was not very friendly to our group. I've raved to my friends for years about this course, and the first impression they got was of this unhappy person treating us like we were a bother, however the rest of the staff we came across was fantastic and we all had a great day! Totally recommend this to all golfers. Just an fyi this is not an easy course that you can over power. Thanks for giving us a great day of golf!”

“I performed at our WomenSafe Casino Night Fundraiser and was also there beforehand to help set up. Staff couldn't have been more pleasant and from what I'm told by our guests dinner and dessert were the best they've ever had at one of our events. I can't wait to do it all again next year!”

“This is easily one of my favorite, if not my most favorite venues in the market. The venue has some of the best staff, Gina & Sophie are so incredible and easy to work with, no matter what the event is or how complicated the planning might have been.There are so many options for photos on the property as well as the best rain plan for any of your outdoor plans that get ruined because of inclement weather.Gina and her team are always willing to go above and beyond for their clients and I honestly don't know that I can say anything other than wildly positive things about the entire experience of working with Hillbrook.The food is consistently good, the staff is consistently professional, the venue itself is beautiful so if you are in the market for a romantic, beautiful and elegant venue, this is your spot!”

I remember searching for a reception hall and from the outside in it didn't look like much. “I had my reception here for my wedding they provided the linens for the tables and chairs as well as the dishes and silverware for dinner . We used the small hall which was bigger than I thought it was really nice and newly renovated. As well as having a dance floor in the middle which was nice they communicated with us and did a great job of setting up . Also wanted to say they included in the services a dinner menu and tasting which was also nice the food was amazing we had so many people tell us it was better than other weddings . We also used the bridal suit which also was renovated and had plenty of space to get ready and a fridge and mirrors for getting ready and private bathroom . The services were awesome the people running it were very nice and respectful. I would highly recommend this place for a venue for your ceremony if need be or the reception it’s beautiful as well inside the long area too.”

“My youth team won their league so as a thank you to the team we had them called onto the field pre game. The captains organizations as whole was wonderful to work with and gave the kids a memorable night. Once again a huge thanks to the captains and way to win!!!!”

“We were fortunate to book this place!! It was last minute and when my husband called they told him they were booked! But Michelle called my husband right back and said she realized she didn’t ask him the time. So we were able to book for our Vow renewal on our 12th year wedding anniversary. This was so special to me. We were allowed to use a cabin to get ready! Michelle keep checking on us and was attentive to our guests. The day was beautiful and full of unforgettable moments that meant the world to us. It was everything❤️❤️ I could have hoped for!!”

“We had our wedding here in July 2021 and I cannot say enough good things about Mooreland. We used the gardens for our engagement pictures and our wedding photos, and they are absolutely stunning. From its beautiful antiquated atmosphere to Normandy catering’s quality of food, everything was so lovely. The only reason I am writing a review two years later is because we are expecting our first child in July. I was hoping to take a few maternity photos in the gardens as well. It seems Kathy is no longer in charge of things, and the new manager is not as kind, and would not allow us to use the gardens for that purpose. I was hoping to be sentimental and have our love story unfold in the same place over the years, but this new manager, Tawny, won’t allow that to happen. I’m certain Kathy would have been able to accommodate after I explained the importance of the gardens. Just be aware that if you decide to have your wedding here, you likely won’t be allowed to return and reminisce over the good times. Very unfortunate.”

If you want to have almost zero stress during your wedding planning, this is the place you want to have it at! All of our guests could not stop raving about the food too!”

“We stayed at the Four Points the first night of the power outage. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. What was notable about our stay- whatever man they had working behind the counter the night of August 6th, hats off to you! We watched this man get berated by an absolutely ridiculous customer. He was yelling, cursing and making it near impossible for the hotel to resolve his complaint which in comparison to the absolute crisis the entire north part of the state was in at the time, was a small complaint. The man stay calm and collected the entire time while simultaneously taking care of other guests requests. The staff is top notch, I never would've made it through the night.”
