So While I had experiance that i shared, I do need to do a follow up. I did received a call from the CEO of Mentor Lumber today to voice his concerns and express a heartfelt appology. In speaking with him he was willing to do something to make things right. The time that he took to listen and do something needs to be known as well, not alot of companies to day do that, Restores my faith in the local guys,,,

Went in to order cabinets.Waited in line to speak with someone.Started talking to a guy behind the counter about what we were looking for, the phone rang, without saying excuse me or give me one second, he just picks up the phone completely ignores us and starts taking an order over the phone?We walked away while he was still on the phone. Sorry but you just lost a sale and a customer for anything in the future, as we are in the process of remodeling our entire home. Beyond rude. Very Disappointed...

I'm sorry I didn't get the gentleman's name that helped us with the cabling for our deck rail. He was so helpful and informative!I'm actually changing the stars to 5 ⭐'s, because they're the actual small town business people we need. Always helpful & he chose to help us instead of racing to answer the phone.

This is as close to an old-fashioned lumber yard as you are going to get. They still sell straight lumber here and the counter people know what you're talking about when it comes to lumber

The store is nicely set up with many products. However, it took over a week with multiple conversations for me to get price quote for my doors, something i can accomplished within 1-2 hours walking to other stores. It could have been just a bad experience with the staff that helped me. But their price is significantly higher than any other places, so i decided to go to somewhere else for all my purchases. Hope everyone else have a better experience there.

My husband and I stopped in to the Chardon Division of Mentor Lumber on Saturday morning. We only saw one other customer in the store. We spoke with who I recently learned was the assistant store manager. We asked him to price two window sizes and a garage door. He priced the windows which took him less than 5 minutes. When we asked for them to be priced as stock sizes he replied he was busy and would call us on Monday with those prices and the garage door price. We did not find him helpful. He did not ask us about any options available. As of today, Wednesday, we had not heard from him.
