Wonderful staff, very helpful. Swagger... aka Brody is very well adjusted to his new home. Very affectionate. He has no cataracts or eye ulcers! Unfortunately, still has scaring from dry eye, previously from being rescued. His coast is soft and supple now. He is still calm and relaxed but loves his antler 'bone' and minty. His breath is superb. Soon to start working on dental care.

Adopted my dog from here and I absolutely love him. This place takes amazing care of the pups until they find a forever home. The adoption fee is only $125 and with this all the vaccines are given to the dogs, any costs for getting the dogs fixed are covered, and food, treats, toys, blankets, etc. Thank you Geauga County Dog Warden for the new addition to our family!

I was driving home from work when I saw a dog almost get hit and continue to run through traffic and the gulf gas station parking lot. I was able to finally get a lease on the 90 plus pound after he took a dip on the sewer water. I was able to get him some fresh water. I want to say her name was Cindy who contacted me from the dog shelter. She was off duty and was gracious enough to come help this dog and get him taken to the shelter. I had many failed attempts trying to get him/her into my car and I was in my dress clothes and heels which added to the level of difficult. I am so thankful that Cindy came out and got the dog. She was caring, kind and relaxed. She deserves an award!! Thank you again for all that you guys do!

I was blessed by being one of the humans who adopted a puppy 4/9/22! They were extremely busy and all the staff was so helpful, professional, friendly! Especially the volunteer Mary! I want to thank everyone for such a joyful day and for all you do to help our fur babies! Blessings to all of you!

We dropped off 3 rescue pups so they could be adopted out to good permanent homes. We were there at 10AM and all 3 pups had new homes by 12N. This was great.

We have adopted two WONDERFUL dogs from these great people and I highly recommend watching their page and going to meet their dogs! They're also so kind and welcoming and know what they're doing over there! We appreciate you all! And our pups are so loved and happy! ?

Fantastic people and place! Cindy was so kind and patient with us as it took us a few days to get our baby back. Made me feel so much better that he was in a good place until we could take him back home.

I adopted my best friend here in October 2010 (formerly known as Bones), and he's still the light of my life. Today, they took in a sweet puppy we found, and I feel completely confident that they'll find the best home for her.Thanks for all you do! ♡

I was visiting my parents and a dog was roaming around their yard and their neighbors'. We gave the dog some food, noticed there was no collar and took him to the dog warden along with some cans of food from my dog (who had died recently). Whoa! The accusations were absurd! The woman said to me and others on the phone that the dog was mine! Really? With my PA license? They assumed that I had the food for the stray dog. I don't need to be treated like a criminal because my dog died! The woman even reiterated the charges I could face! I will never give them any donations again! Want to donate? DONATE TO ATHENS COUNTY. I volunteered there for four years and can vouch for them being a much better office!
