I went here one time three years ago. I brought in two dogs and a cat and left with a $1500 bill. All standard "necessary" care for my animals. They wanted me to collect fecal samples in a tube that they charged me $45 per pet per tube. Not $45 per test, just per tube. when I went home, I looked over the charges. I called them back and denied several services that were unnecessary. Got my bill down to around $600, paid, and never went back! I also brought in a copy of my dogs x-rays from a previous vet. They lost the original copy which was my copy for my records. If you are not looking to get ripped off, I'd go to the old guy near King Kone.

My very loving and sweet Cheyenne (5 year old female black lab, 75 lbs) has been a patient here since we moved to Chardon in 2020. All the vets were great and up until now have not had any problems. My sweet Cheyenne was seen at the vet on Tuesday (4/18/2023) for a possible cyst (on the right hip) and 6 month checkup. She had a very detailed exam by the vet and was given a completely clean bill of health. The vet mentioned to use their app to keep them updated on discharge as a biopsy of the cyst was taken. The day after she started restricting the use of her back right leg for lifting only (stairs, jumps, etc). I suspected a muscle stain. Given the injury was nontraumatic(no falls, no dog fights, no specific injury, no evidence of infection at biopsy cite, area nontender on exam), and we had an old prescription for low dose prednisone (10 mg/day for a 70 lb dog), and the fact 95 % of muscular skeletal injuries just require rest with full recovery, we started her on the prednisone. This clinic has a APP for communication with the medical staff, so as requested I used the app to keep the clinic updated. I very simply asked if there was anything over the counter that I could give Cheyenne for pain until the prednisone kicked in. Unfortunately, whomever was covering their app (you could tell they were not clinical and had a very low level of medical intelligence given their response). They refused to answer the very simple question unless I schedule an appointment, despite her being seen two days prior. They refused to pass my question/message onto the vet. I offered I would gladly have Cheyenne follow up in a week (sooner if symptoms worsened), to allow time for the rest/prednisone to work. The ACOC clinics response was rude and they ended up dumping Cheyenne refusing to see her going forward. Complete patient abandonment and malpractice. I am strongly considering getting advise from my lawyer, however in the meantime will need to find a new vet since this establishment clearly only cares about money and not about their patients. To be fair I do not think any of the communication actually reached the vet despite me asking at least 5 times for the message to be relayed. I do believe this was just the office staff and in my opinion whomever it was, their employment should be terminated immediately. I have screenshots of the entire conversation. Sad.

They are only out for money not to take care of our furry friends!! They told me numerous times when I called about coughing throwing up that it is normal!! She told me my dogs grade 3 murmur was stable but never told me what to look for.. The things he was experiencing was his heart murmur that was stable according to them.. My dog died cause they were neglectful but they were more concerned with cleaning teeth!! I would never recommend this facility to anyone.. I consulted another vet and they said he should have been on medication to slow down the heart murmur if it was a grade 3..He put his brother on medication and he's feeling like a puppy again.. Never take your animals here it's all about your money!! If it was up to me they would not even get a one star

Dr Carolyn & Dr Tom, as well as all of the Vet Tech staff are just amazing. I have nothing but five stars to give this Clinic. They treated my Marley like their own up until his last day here with me and my family! Any appointments I needed, they accommodated with and went to the end of the earth to make ME and my anxious baby feel safe. I will forever and only use this pet hospital!!!!!!! ⭐️?⭐️?⭐️

Called because I had questions about a 3 week old puppy I was bottle feeding. They were very nice and answered all the questions I had over the phone. Without seeming annoyed with all the questions I asked

I just wanted to give a tremendous thank you to all the faculty and staff at The Animal Clinic of Chardon! Today my lil man had 13 teeth extracted, and I cannot believe the amazing amount of communication I received, how well each staff member treated my lil guy, and everything you guys have done for my family since the unfortunate passing of late Captain. Also, thank you Summer Musgrave for treating him like he was one of your own. I will forever remember each of you helping my anxiety through this whole procedure. Especially Dr Tom, thank all of you so much! Will always recommend this veterinarian office to everyone, 10/10! ❤️❤️

First visit and I was super impressed. Everything was run with great efficiency. Communication prior to the visit was helpful, transfer of records, uploading info. Smooth. Kirtley in the office, Terri the tech and Dr. Carolyn were great! Great communication, everything was clearly explained along with an email of all that was discussed. I had wanted to come to this practice for quite some time but I chose one closer to home, the extra drive was definitely worth it. I highly recommend this practice.

are you kidding me? they claim to be an exotic animal vet but not for medical issues, for those they refer you out. they only attend to husbandry issues, so then you are not an exotic animal vet. wow. that just captures their absolute incompetance and their lack of ethics.

I recently switched to ACOC because my last Vet had limited appointment times. I work and I can't just leave work to drive across town to bring my cat for an appointment!!! ACOC was SO accommodating. Incredibly nice and professional!!! took wonderful care of my kitty who was suffering from a respiratory tract infection. He's 100% better!!! ACOC took such an interest in my cat-calling the next day and asking how he was doing. Their app is awesome- like a MyChart for animals!!! They respond quickly and really care. Couldn't be more pleased!!!

Our 17 year old Westie needed emergency help and the folks at the Animal Clinic of Chardon got her right in. They took great care of her and put her on aa treatment plan to clear up the pneumonia she was suffering from.

I chose to try this vet based on word of mouth & WOW was I extremely happily surprised! Dr. Frankman is so knowledgeable about Greyhounds, so having newly adopted an off the track hound, I was SO thankful for his help! This practice was totally professional from start to finish. I expressed my serious concerns & they got me in right away & started a treatment plan that literally worked instantly. Their app & means of communication & attentiveness are unsurpassed. I highly recommend this progressive, compassionate clinic. I've been taking pets to the vet for over 25 years & this clinic blew me away! Keep up the great work & fabulous communication =)

An amazing company with people who really do care about the animals and their families. Could not ask for a better group of people
