I spoke with one of my good friends who is a parents enrolled here and I was considering enrolling my child. Not anymore. I have heard nasty rumors about staff members that are just not okay for a daycare center , the classrooms do not look like a positive environment. I was considering enrolling my child because I heard that the director there was making some positive changes but upon hearing that she was no longer there, I’m am not sure if this is the right environment for my family. I hope this center improves with its staff, its curriculum, and overall cleanliness.

We’re loving La Petite Academy in Centerville! We recently moved from Virginia and they have made the transition seamless. Our boys are continuing to grow, learn and flourish. We appreciate all that the directors, teachers and staff do each day! They take time to get to know each child personally, are enthusiastic and caring. We feel very fortunate to have found another wonderful school.

My daughter has attended this La Petite Centerville for 2.5 years now and we have had the absolute BEST experience. We had previously been to 2 other local "chain" daycares with both our son (who is older now)and daughter, and this was by far our best experience. Our daughter started in the toddler classroom and loved the staff from day 1, she is now in the PreK room and learning new things every day. Everyone here is extremely loving and caring. The Director, Melissa, is amazing at communicating and addressing any questions or concerns. I will always refer people here. Thank you all for being so amazing, you are all truly a blessing to our family.

MULTIPLE reasons for us withdrawing that have yet to be addressed:1. Told it is disconcerting my child is still biting at his age... he's 2. There is a reason why he's biting.2. Told he should speak w a child psychologist... he's TWO. Again, THERE IS A REASON WHY HE'S BITING.3. The continual negative ostrasizing of my son during redirect instead of positive redirects following negative behavior. For example, If he bites another student, he is told to sit apart from others. That is fine. But when he is pulled away from the reader at storytime and forced to sit apart towards the back, or at dance yesterday forced away from the front and other students, that is not ok. Thank goodness another teacher stepped in and incorporated him into the dance instruction, but that has been the only physical interaction he has had at this school apart from diaper changes.3.5 Teachers not paying attention to students. When my son got shoved or hit, the teachers only notice his negative reaction, and praises the other student, this behavior becomes intensified later on by my son. And the circle continues. I have seen this happen multiple times on the cameras.4. Teachers ignoring my son when he talks to them or pointing him away to go elsewhere when approached. Minimal eye contact. Zero physical contact. Again, I have witnessed this on camera.5. Zero/late communication on brightwheel app. Diaper changes are nonexistant. No feedback from teachers. I have yet to get any response.6. My son was not allowed to fully participate, and always picked last. Case in point, the other morning during storytime, everyone got a chance to stand up and jump while the group clapped and cheered on. My son was visibly getting increasingly agitated when he kept getting skipped over. When he finally was picked to jump, the teacher ended the cheering early and moved on. How do I know? I saw it on camera.7. Told in front of the other parents at pickup, not privately or over the phone or even on brightwheel that my toddler has bitten "again" when asked to sign the incident report.8. A 15 sec confrontation by unknown male yesterday after a biting incident where his teacher - yet again - wasn't paying attn to kids, focused solely on cleaning. I was told this man is a teacher, but from a different classroom. Why is it ok for another teacher from another classroom to chastise my TWO year old son? He is TWO. This man has NO clue what led up to this point, or why he has been biting in class. To top it off, he removed two females stdents from class after, which means he must also be their guardian. Unacceptable behavior from a teacher.9. The 'lost' spare clothing set. We've only been there a week. Where could they have gone? We don't have them at home.10. The behavior of the same man from yesterday on camera this morning in the EP classroom (why is this man in a classroom that is not his?) after learning of my son's withdrawal is abominable, and an embarassment to La Petite. The teacher who handed me my son's bag waled in to speak with the lead teacher, and then his reaction was to jump up, do a deep kneep lunge, and perform a visible referee's you're out move. Disgusting.

We have been with this location for one year and my child absolutely loves it here. We have never had any issues with behavior or teachers not paying attention to the children. When any issues have been brought up the staff were quick to resolve and address my concerns. My child is very happy here and has developed their community of friends. The kids enjoyed field trips this summer and swim days at Twigs. The staff are doing an amazing job considering we are still enduring a pandemic. They handled the school Age group very well during remote learning . I work really long hours and am Very grateful that we were able to keep our child enrolled another year.

The worse daycare and director ever came across as a parent. When i pulled my daughter out she tried to charge me outstanding balance, saying i pulled my daughter out without notice. I had to go to corporate to get everything sorted out. Penelizing me when my daughter was having anxiety attacks from her un organized school. My daughter's kindergarten also reported her crying when they had to get her on the bus to daycare from school. My daughter attended this untrustworthy place. Melissa the director lied to my face and told me she kept a certain ratio of teacher to student after confronting her about my daughter having anxiety each time i dropped her off. My daughter told me how her class would have alot kids and was noisy.

Our son is now 4 years old and he has gone to La Petite (Centerville) since he was an infant. I highly recommend La Petite (Centerville) as they have earned our trust and have taken exceptional care of our son for several years.

This daycare deserted my son at school over a 2 day past due balance, that they knew was in the process of being paid. Instead of picking my child up from kindergarten and reminding me of the balance when I picked him up that evening, they refused to let him on the daycare bus and left him at school for a parent to pick up. (The girl driving the bus also made sure to tell my SIX year old that he couldn’t ride because mommy didn’t pay his bill!!!! Really?!) After confronting the manager over this, I was told rudely that it’s their policy. No apology or anything. I called and spoke with the director and she was extremely apologetic, saying that this incident should never have happened. I quickly pulled my son out of this daycare and will never be back. I’ve also warned other moms in the area to not use them! They care more about money than the well being of the children in their care!!! Also, they majority of their teaching staff are rude, most importantly their manager Melissa.

La Petite Academy of Centerville on 48 is awesome for children. My daughter has had a wonderful experience there. The Director and Assistant Director are both stellar. The Director helped me in so many ways and she was a delight to work with. Thank you so much for your excellent service! You run a daycare that is so much better than other daycare in Centerville.

If they weren't 30 minutes away from our home in the opposite direction of my work, we'd still have our little one enrolled. They provide the best care. They are worth every penny!
