The car I was rented needed serviced, and it hadn’t gotten serviced before renting. The windshield also had some sort of problem that made it difficult to see through under the right conditions. I was rented a very unsafe vehicle to drive.

The Dayton Mall Budget Rental Car is awesome!! The staff there made it easy checking out and checking in the really nice upgraded car I got to rent! Super friendly and great to work with!! I highly recommend them and will be using this rental outlet the next time I rent a car!! Thanks !!

Rental was great but don’t pre-pay if there’s a chance you will have to cancel. I cancelled a reservation 2 days in advance but they charged me $50. Must be an expensive effort to refund my credit card.

Staff is really good, friendly and very helpful at pickup and drop off time. Car condition was awesome. Highly recommend particularly this store at Miamisburg centerville budget.

I called both BUDGET locations and nobody could tell me if there was Fee for dropping the vehicle at the Columbus airport after I had picked it up at the Dayton Mall location. I was shocked to see a $300 Charge on my e-Receipt !! I would not have dropped it there if anyone had told me the cost !!

I had reserved a moving truck rental three weeks in advance. Called to confirm it would be available and was told it would be. Less than 24 hours before scheduled pickup, they called me to cancel saying they didn’t have availability. No other truck sizes or compensation were offered.Even worse, two days after they called to cancel my reservation, they had the gall to fraudulently charge me $75 for not picking up the truck. I had to call customer service who promptly apologized said they will refund the full amount, but they can’t provide written or email confirmation of this fact. I am expected to confirm with them in a week that this refund properly goes through.I will never again rely on Budget to provide their promised service and will recommend against this poorly organized company.

After waiting 4 hours for our truck to arrive, we finally had a decent use of a moving truck. Unfortunately, while returning the truck and keys, [Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 1:00pm] Both employee were very unprofessional, verbally abusive and should not continue working in customer service. We will use a different rental company next time!

Avoid at all costs. Employees are over worked and cannot deal with the level of demand. They also don’t have inventory to deal with demand. As a result I was treated very poorly here never ended up getting a car and stranded at my location. I had the privilege to sit and wait for an hour and observe customers coming and going and dealing with this employee. It was almost entertaining. Anyway rent from somewhere else, you will almost be helping them out. Oh and Budget-why are they using a dot matrix printer at this location? The whole experience felt like it was from 1985. Fast break??? Hahhahahahhaha.

ZERO STARS!!!Horrible, rude, disrespectful and utterly nasty service. Vehicle states, "Service due now". Operator, the only person on duty dismissed my concerns. Im in a bind and needed vehicle for emergency. Do not feel safe but have to keep rental .Will be driving from Dayton OH to Mississippi and back in 3 day period. This location and operator does not perform to or represent the Budget Rental carstandards that I am accustomed to. If this vehicle would have broken down during my trip I would have pursued legal and financial remedy.Re: Dayton Mall location OH.Ayana Jordan,independent operator.

The car (I didn’t choose) had lots of dents that weren’t marked, almost bald tires, and one tire with thinning and scraping marks. No one was there to exchange car.The last day I checked out of hotel and found a flat tire. Each stage of road assistance process had a new problem. Each time, it took 5+ calls trying various menu choices to reach a human. Even the “speak to a representative” option went to an automated option and no person.Most rental car companies bring a replacement rental to you and you get on your way quickly. With Budget, I had to pay/arrange to to change their car's tire. Then, only a donut spare was provided, which is unsafe to drive on. There was no replacement car closer than the airport an hour away, so they offered to tow the car and send an Uber.All the roadside assistants were quick and did their jobs well. The towed car was delivered at 1:23 pm 7/8 to AUS airport. The Uber booking link never arrived, but other texts did, so I had to call Budget 5+ times to request an Uber. The first Uber was due to arrive on time, then switched to a driver who would be too late to make our flights, so we canceled the Uber and found another ride.Worst of all, the reason for my trip was to speak at an international conference and I didn’t want to risk depending on a ride service to get me there. Because of this flat tire and it taking over 3 hours to arrive, I missed my presentation, so I didn't get paid, which was how I was paying for my trip!3 days later, a text said my car was 2 days overdue and I was being charged $200 more! I called Budget 5x to talk to a human. After a long hold, the cust serv rep said (several times because couldn't understand her accent) the vehicle was returned and I could ignore the text.I asked for a refund on 1 day's rental since I didn't have access to a car that day. After another long hold, Mark, a cust. serv. Super., closed out the rental and said he’d refund 2 days rental, but didn't. What a nightmare! I'll NEVER use Budget again!

Find a more reputable rental company. SUV I reserved months in advance not available. (Same thing for the people in front of and behind me). Had to settle for a smaller vehicle at same price. Vehicle was damaged - there was no pre rental inspection. If I hadn’t noticed on leaving I would have been responsible for thousands in damage . Cracked plastic on bumper and cracked tail light.

I made a reservation online and prepaid And when I went to pick up the car obviously I had to pay the deposit. Well the lady at the front desk said they don't accept my Woodforest bank card as a form of payment for the deposit. She said it absolutely had to be a credit card. Funny that they can take $700 off of my bank card for the rental but not the deposit ? and then the lady turned around and said I couldn't get approved to rent a car because my credit was in the 500s!!! I have rented through budget at the Mason location MULTIPLE TIMES with no problem using my same woodforest bank card over and over, It just so happened my regular location didn't have a vehicle and I had to go with the Dayton Mall location.. If you want a smooth rental with budget/Avis for your trip I would advise you to try to go to Mason and definitely not this location!! I ended up going to Enterprise, Budget just lost a customer!! Enterprise even gave me a discount of two days free for having to deal with budgets bullcrap..

Easy pickup. Easy drop-off. Reasonable pricing. Staff checking in and checking out were very knowledgeable and polite. I will definitely rent from them again.
