The worst rental location we have experienced. No customer service skills at all. We booked online they charged our card when we went there they told us no car available for you. Now our money stuck with them for 5 business days without getting any service. Couple in front of us booked compact car staff told them they dont have that size car if they want to keep their reservation they need to pay extra for other car or they can leave without car. Never going to Avis again

(SCAM! STOLE $350)After an approved inspection of the returned rental, Instead of getting my promised deposit of $150, they stole $350 off my card days later. Avis at the Dayton Mall is a scam. Unprofessional customer service as well.

We were given a vehicle with problems. We were sent to several locations where they guaranteed us a replacement but every time we arrived nothing was available. After days of trying they sent us to an airport which was a 2 hour drive away and we were treated rudely and dismissed. No one wanted to be bothered. We waited in a 30 min long line and we were finally given a replacement. Even the new car, although safe to drive, smelled of cigarettes and had at least an inch of liquid in both center console cup holders. We put up with it to get home.

The 5 stars are for Ricky that was working the counter at the Dayton Mall office in Miamisburg, Ohio. He was dealing 3 sets of customers at the same time, and handling it well. Two of us had reserved our rentals through Priceline, and the vehicles that we reserved did not exist. Budget/Avis should not partner with them if the integration between the them and Priceline is not exact and correct. Ricky resolved our situations properly and to our satisfaction. They need more folks like him. They also need better partners and software.

The customer support provided by Avis car rental is severely lacking. It is common to experience multiple call transfers when seeking assistance. When it comes to vehicle availability, it is rare for them to actually have the vehicle you reserved at the designated time. Additionally, it is important to closely monitor your bank statements for any charges, as I encountered difficulties involving Visa in resolving these issues.As for the Dayton Mall location, it was decent overall. The vehicles I rented from them were clean but not my clean and the family team that manages the front of the house were friendly and helpful. However, I believe that most of the problems stem from Avis' systems.If you plan on renting an Uber from Avis, do not switch vehicles, as you may encounter difficulties providing consent when switching cars.

DO NOT RENT FROM AVIS DAYTON AIRPORT (Avis Dayton Mall was where we eventually rented and they were SO helpful)We arrived at Dayton Airport to pickup our minivan (we had a prior reservation), only to be told to step out of line because they needed to find a car to go to Canada (our ending destination). After waiting some time, the lady at the counter got a call from the MANAGER that they found a vehicle. When I clarified that it was a minivan (as that is the car type we booked), she said no, they didn't have a minivan that they would be willing to send to Canada. After explaining that we had a reservation and that they clearly had minivans sitting in the lot, I asked why I couldn't use one of those cars. The manager rudely said she only had one car she was willing to give me and it was a 5 seater SUV. I stated there were 6 people in my family, which is why we rented the van. She said there was nothing she was willing to do. I then asked for my money back, she said no.She said I needed to call corporate to get my money back. I then spent 3+ hours talking to AVIS on the phone trying to figure out how we were going to get a car rented, refunded, or whatever. Eventually they cancelled. Then issued us a car credit of 2-3 days free rental to use when booking the van - as we stated we would pickup at a different Dayton location the next day. We then went to use the credit, and it was an invalid code for our car type.So bottom line, Avis manager at Dayton International Airport is HORRENDOUS, Rude, Disrespectful and Unhelpful. Secondly, we didn't get the car we needed on the day we needed. Thirdly, the coupon the phone agents gave us to help the situation didn't even work! I will NEVER rent from Avis again.Furthermore, there was a month and two daughters next to me having a similar situation. They stated they had been there for 2+ hours trying to rent a car with that Avis counter. STAY AWAY FROM THIS. Ps. Budget and Avis are the same company.Dayton Mall Avis is where we were eventually able to rent - they were amazing! I was in/out in less than 10 minutes. You guys were GREAT!

Friendly staff at this location, I always get helped quickly. They always have a car reserved for me and is clean and well maintained. I rent for business several times a year.

I rented a van to travel to Kansas for my daughter’s soccer. Dorian had 2 vans and recommended that I take the Sienna. It was a hybrid! Best van ever!!! It saved us on gas, had plenty of room for the girls and luggage. Very satisfied customer here.

Took twenty minutes to receive service as no one as at the front counter and I was the only customer present. Found the lady in charge and she very strongly and in a stern manner stated I’ll just have to wait as she was washing a car. She was extremely rude. When we finally received our car it was not clean paper, dirt and cereal on the floor, it was not washed as the windshield and the front of the vehicle was covered in bugs. We refused the vehicle until it was cleaned and she stated that “it is clean, and I cleaned it myself!” Yikes! I requested a clean vehicle and she stated none were available (clearly there were at least 2 dozen cars clean and prepared). The rudeness did not stop from there. Was the absolute worst car rental experience in my life ( I travel a lot with business) and will not use the Centerville Dayton Mall Avis again. In reading the past reviews, it appears several have had similar experiences, why is this person still employed? Worst experience ever.
