Very dissatisfied with what this place did to my Great Pyrenees animal Castle Dayton I dropped off my Great Pyrenees and asked for a bath and brush out when I returned and picked him up he had been cut down both sides and nicked on both rear legs when I confronted manager she said I told you I was gonna do this when you dropped him off The problem was she wasn't there when I dropped him off so apparently they've gotten good at covering up for poor work done by their people, now it will take months for his hair grow back. I spoke with another dog walker in the neighborhood who shared A bad experience with Animal Castle of Dayton years ago she had to leave , after this experience many people have asked why did they do a poodle cut my comment; this is a company is not experienced in the care and grooming of a long-haired large breed dog. They are apparently good at cutting small dogs but if you care about your pet I would avoid this place at all costs some people are after a buck at the cost of anybody or anything. You can't believe everything you hear or read wish I would've known.

Been taking my schnauzer here for 5 years, enjoyed the compassion of all the staff here until recently,Today I called and attempted to schedule my schnauzer and a new pup and I was told that I could bring my dog already on fuel but because they aren’t accepting any new dogs at this time they can’t see my new pup. Long story short they lady on the phone lacked customer service and could care less about retaining customers. Not sure what’s changed but I’m upset that now I have to find a new groomer after 5 years.I usually groom my own animals but it had been awhile so I decided to take my miniature Schnauzer in for a "professional" cut. I honestly could have done a better job on my own there was nothing professional about it. Lines of her "skirt" are not lined up across her body like they should be. Cut was very choppy. Staff were friendly though.

My last review 3 monthsago was about all 3 of my dogs (they did a great job and they always smell great after a visit). This one is about my 14 year old shitzu poodle whom I took today solo. She is skittish bc she is 14 and pretty much deaf. She wasn't shaking or upset when I picked her up today. That is a miracle! They are amazing. Take your babies here as they are very well taken care of. The groomer, Deb (I think) told me of a possible issue of which I had no idea.Thank you, animal castle. They are very kind and caring people.

What a great place. My dog is a rescue and so scared of people, but the groomers were able to work with him and said he did great. He looked like a different dog. I was very happy with the experience and with his grooming. Will definitely go back.

I took my two dogs here to get a grooming with strict instructions written on a note. I had adopted two rescue Shih Tzu's, one was rescued from an abusive puppy mill and one was rescued from a commercial breeder who did not want her anymore because she was a nub of a tail. I sent my husband to the groomer with a note letting the groomer know what I wanted done. I strictly wanted the groomer to pluck their ears because Minka and Butters have been to the vet and advised by my Veterinarian that they needed their ears plucked because they had so much hair. Minka had to get ear medicine because she had some bacteria in her ears. Butters, coming from an abusive puppy mill had not been taken care of properly with her ears. After my husband brought them home their coats looked good but I didn't see any difference in the ears. I left a vm to confirm their ears were plucked. The man at the front desk got back to me the next day but was VERY rude. I paid for a $100 grooming job and couldn't even get a simple "Yes" or "No" if their ears were for sure plucked. Instead he said in a very passive aggressive voice "It was on the list. I'm not sure. She's not in." Yeah, I wont be coming here anymore. Keeping my dogs for 3-4 hours and then not even confirming whether or not the babes got their ears plucked. I'll go to a better salon where I can stand and actually see the groomer doing the job I asked/paid a lot of money for.
