My husband and I got married at the DoubleTree hotel in downtown Canton on March 15th and it was the best day ever! We got married in the hallway space and had our reception right after in the ballroom. We received so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful, convenient, and clean the place was from the venue space to our guests staying overnight in the rooms. Our room block was so easy to set up with Teresa and they handed out our goodie bags for us to guests as they checked in. The staff did an amazing job with everything! They flipped our ceremony space into our cocktail hour super quick, they allowed our wedding party to get drinks for dinner when we forgot the bar closed for dinner, and they left my dinner plate out throughout the evening that I had initially barely touched and then suddenly was starving which was so thoughtful and very much appreciated! Our dinner was so good and again we received so many compliments from our guests on how delicious dinner was. We also had a situation where a non wedding guest was getting a little to comfortable in our wedding area and security was on it right away and had the hotel guest removed and took care of it without a problem. The DoubleTree hotel was so convenient for us and our guests since we had a lot of guests come from out of town. It was the best decision we made to have our wedding there and was honestly the best priced option compared to other venues. You will not regret having your wedding or any event here. Thank you DoubleTree for making our wedding day the best day we could’ve ever imagined!

Great, affordable hotel with amazing service in a central location. I stay here every year and I will continue to stay here. The staff is so friendly and accommodating, the rooms is up-to-date and clean. The only negative thing I can think of is that the sliding bathroom doors are kind of weird.
Rooms: Clean, very comfortable beds, weird slicing bathroom doors
Walkability: Centrally located and within walking distance of multiple attractions, bars & restaurants

It was really hard to connect to the internet. There were ants getting in through the window in the room that I did let the night staff know about
Noteworthy details: The bedding was absolutely soft and I love the weighted-foam pillows.

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel! Second year here for festival. Staff is amazing! Food, drinks are awesome! The patio is fun to hang out on and everything was clean and comfortable.
Rooms: Clean and comfy.
Walkability: Great location downtown.
Food & drinks: Excellent. They did a special menu for our festival.

The only reason I gave 4 stars was because the hot water did not work the night I stayed at the hotel. But everything else was excellent service.
Nearby activities: The Pro Football Hall of Fame is 10 minutes away.

Overall it was a good time, with a nice enough place to stay at while out of town. We stayed here for 2 nights, had a 2 bed room on 3rd floor.
Things I liked:
1. Place is very clean!
2. I loved the way the room smelled when walking in idk what it was but I loved it lol.
3. They give you cookies at check in.
4. Staff was friendly.
5. Beds were comfy.
6. Wifi + Stuff on TV.
My complaints:
1. The bathroom door wouldn't lock, or even stay shut idk if this was something about our room or if it's the same in all but it's pretty weird for a bathroom door to not stay shut.
2. Shower includes a glass door and positioned right across a giant mirror, some people may love this but I found it weird being able to see myself shower.
3. Parking is weird, maybe it's not so bad if staying at a time it's slow but when attending for an event it's very limited parking unless you pay to park in the parking garage across the street which isn't ideal when having stuff to transport into the hotel.
4. You must have a room key to use the elevator, at first this didn't bother me as I thought of it as a safety precaution, however later realizing there's access to an open staircase clearly seen in the lobby, it's just pointless and frustrating if you forget your key card because you're thinking oh my friends in the room so I don't need it, get to the elevator ... ah sh*t that's right.
5. The cookies are it, no free breakfast. :(
6. I personally didn't mess with the air in the room but my friend said it wasn't able to adjust, the unit by the window says to use the thermostat on the wall which she tried but it wouldn't actually change. It was pretty dang cold, which was nice at times but well cold at others.
Overall I'd say if you find yourself in Canton needing a place to stay, it's good enough to try out. Plus I didn't really see many other options nearby. You can trust you'll have a clean room, something to watch, able to connect online, and a nice bed to sleep in. Oh and a cookie.
Almost forgot, the coffee maker in the room may or may not cause some confusion because it's the kind that takes pods but it looks like they've stocked you with a basket of regular type coffee and tea hotels have in the little bags. But if you open the bag you'll find it's a little circle pouch that you just toss into the pod area.

This review is solely with regard to hosting an event in their ballroom and spaces, and their service. We held our wedding there in May and I cannot speak highly enough about the staff at the front desk, the operations staff, and Tory, the event coordinator. They were absolutely incredible. Anything we needed- we got it. We had to move the event indoors the day before and they accommodated us. I called down to the front desk the morning of the wedding to see how I could best let my hair dresser and makeup artist in and they said, "Don't worry, we got you. It's your day, relax." Tory was on top of every detail and incredibly responsive to my many, many emails :) She made the day easy, flawless, and stress free. If I could hire her to do every event in my life, I would! The operations staff was on top of setting up everything exactly how we wanted it and were very communicative. We could not have asked for better, kinder service. The space is gorgeous and beautiful! Just wish it could've been a bit cooler!

As a silver Hilton rewards member, my family and I have stayed at many different Hilton hotels. We stayed at this hotel after a trip to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton. It was a little pricier than the hotels we usually choose but I thought I’d pay the extra as the other Hilton hotels in Canton had mixed reviews. I was expecting a great experience. The women who checked us in was very friendly and the lobby, pool and fitness room were very nice and well kept. BUT the bed was very sunken in and the sheets felt like cheap sandpaper. I let this slide- it’s not the first uncomfortable bed I’ve slept in at a hotel but after a pretty crappy nights sleep, I was looking forward to a hot shower before getting on the road. Unfortunately there was no hot water and I was not happy. After my cold shower, I went to the desk politely and made the desk employee aware of the lack of hot water. She was less than friendly and told me she knew and it would be fixed “in an hour or so”. I was ready to check out at that point and asked if I could have any compensation towards the cost of the room as the bed was uncomfortable and the shower was cold. She just said “nope” and stared at me. Not impressed at all. I’ll never “splurge” on a Hilton room again. The cheap hotel chains are the same as the pricier ones.
