HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We had issues with a local distributor of flooring material (in the Pittsburgh area) that sent us 2 different shipments of faulty wood floors. Thankfully our installers caught it both times, but that put is in a bind and behind in our schedule. Allen at Baird Brothers was able to get us a better quality product for less than what the local distributor was charging for the bad orders, and it arrived in less than a week. At every turn this company was supportive, their pricing is competitive, they delivered (!) (the other distributor I had originally ordered from you had to pick up material at their warehouse) and the product is superior. Our installers have been impressed and I hope will recommend Baird to their future clients. The floors are being finished next week and I'll update with photos at that time. Here is the unfinished work, at least. The flush, in-floor registers are also from Baird Brothers. I look forward to buying new baseboard and trim in the future from them.

Used baird brothers many times in the past. Usually very good. Visited them at Pittsburgh Garden show and talked with them about a project I had. Asked if they installed and they people at the show said yes. Fast forward months later and went to pull the trigger on the project and guess who doesn't install.....Salesmans didn't read his emails with all the information and kept asking for more info. I provided info many times and kept getting the same questions over and over again. Finally got fed up and took my business elsewhere. The quality of there products has always been good for me, seems like there is a disconnect in the office department.

First time ordering products from this company. Item received was as depicted. The condition of the dowel was exceptional. Extremely high quality piece of hickory for my project. I would certainly do business with this company again! Item was shipped very quickly too. I will recommend this company to friends and family. I am completely satisfied with this companies services. A special thank you to everyone at Baird Brothers that made our project a success.We decided to replace the carpet in our Great Room with hardwood flooring. After coming up with a design - we decided to have a darker Nutmeg stain flooring inserted into the main Early American Ash flooring. The cut of the flooring needed to match up with our existing 1988 hardwood floors.We worked with Aaron, Peter and Matt - who were all very informative and helpful. A big thanks to all of the people behind the scenes!! They all did an excellent job as to matching up the cut of the wood and correctly estimating the amount of the two different stained wood boards that were needed. Our order was packaged up & skidded with great care. No damaged pieces at all.Everyone involved went out of their way to make us Happy customers. We are very satisfied with the outcome of our beautiful Great Room hardwood floor. This wouldn’t have been possible without your Team effort.

I ordered some mahogany. They sent the incorrect size, but I was impressed with how they immediately rectified the problem for me. Mistakes happen - what sets good customer service apart from poor service is how a company reacts - and Jake at Baird was great. I will buy there again.

We have been a customer of Bairrd Lumber since 1995. We have built 2 homes with all of our lumber purchased from them. Today my husband was treated so badly by 2 employees. Rude ,loud and disrespectful. He felt attacked by them . We will never go back there again. If the owners would like to message me I will give you more details. We have never had trouble like this before in 29 years.

Ordered some 1X10 maple boards that were flat and straight. No knots either. I built a double dresser I used these boards for drawer fronts so I wanted them to look good and match side by side. They are perfect.

First looked at the local stores for the trim that was needed but they didn't have it. Looking online I came across Baird Bros. Checked the reviews and decided to give it a try. I don't generally do reviews but wanted to let others know what good service this place does. The shipment was out within two days. Had the order quickly and the trim is good quality and looks beautiful. Will definitely turn to Baird Bros with any other wood needs.

Orderes 2 -12-Lx1-1/4 Dia African Mahogany dowels they came and were perfect, came on time and were just as I asked few. I would recommend there company in a heart beat.

I needed some window stools for my new windows and couldn't find anything locally, Baird Brothers came up in a search and they had exactly what I needed at a fair price. I ordered last week and the shipment arrived today, sooner than I expected.The poplar appears to be very good quality, the pieces are straight and smooth and will require very little prep for paint.The packaging was great. The pieces were tightly shrink wrapped (2 short pieces were end to end and appeared to be one long piece until I unwrapped them). My small order was plain unfinished poplar but it was packaged like a high-end product.I'm a very satisfied customer and will be purchasing more items in the near future.
