You could actually feel their compassion for us knowing how hard it was going to be to let go. From scheduling the appointment to the final end. They were so kind and caring. Unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done, but they got her looked at immediately upon arrival and helped get us quick information to make the inevitable decision. Everyone was so patient and kind. It doesn’t make the sadness go away, but my husband and I (and our sweet Wendy) felt very respected during a very difficult time. We will be returning if/when need for our other pets and recommending to others when in need.

8200 Howe Industrial Pkwy Suite 200, Canal WinchesterBrett did an amazing job working with our 5 month old German Shepherd. Our puppy did the Jump Start +1 program, two days of training with one overnight stay. We are thrilled with the results.
During our initial consultation, Brett took the time to explain his approach to training and answer all of my many questions!
During training, Brett used agility work to help build our puppy's confidence while also learning obedience commands. We were concerned about proper socialization, this was addressed through training as our dog worked with Brett's dog, Roman, to learn proper interaction from a balanced dog. Over the course of the two days, we received video and text updates.
When we picked our puppy up, Brett went over all the work they did and taught us how to implement obedience commands and continue his training at home. He also took the time to answer all of our follow-up questions Our 5 month old puppy used to pull and swerve all over when walking, he now walks on a loose leash in heel position! He also is excelling in sit and down stays. I took him to Home Depot yesterday and he let two strangers approach and pet him without barking; this is one of the goals I have for him.
Brett offers a variety of different training packages depending on your dog's needs. He also focuses on the importance of you participating and continuing training. These points were key for me as I was looking for a trainer who would focus on the needs of my dog and help me learn how to set him up for continued success.

I also fell in love and adopted two of my fosters! Fostering helps give a ‘trial run’ with the dogs you foster if indeed you are seeking a best friend of your own. And even if you are not seeking to adopt, you are helping so many innocent animals that desperately need a break from a shelter environment while the shelter is working with the community to find each dog their ‘forever home’.
Fostering is THE MOST REWARDING VOLUNTEER WORK in the world and it’s only a small commitment at a time. Typically only a week or two for each dog you help. Please consider it! Especially at Gigi’s!!! Top Notch rescue !!!

6130 Wright Rd, Canal WinchesterWe took our rescue, Tillie, to Allison after two very scary attacks on other dogs in the household. We did the 2 week board and train and it has made such a difference! Not only did she teach tillie commands but also taught us how to spot and manage signs of conflict in the house (even taking time during the home visit to work with the other dog). We could not be more impressed with Tillies progress. She sent daily progress videos and was responsive to any questions we had after training was complete. If you are here checking reviews like I did because you were afraid you’d have to rehome your dog please give Allison a call! We checked with another trainer first and they said it wouldn’t work because tillie was too old.

37 W Waterloo St, Canal WinchesterStopped in for a drink and snack. Searchlight is always the go to. I had a Blackberry Sangria which was amazing. We sat on the patio and had a pretzel and enjoyed the new canopy. It gets pretty toasty on the patio, they could use a couple small fans just to move some air. Other than that it was a fun comfy visit and plan to stop back again soon.
