I haven't really shopped this store till about the last few yrs. I must say this store isn't bad. I have a handful of employees who seem to know what they are doing and will help the shoppers if needed, same with the managers of the store I have ran into while shopping. I will say though I wish the store was a little bigger, seems like its rather small but that's understandable. I know this store is a lot better than its sister store in Mt.Gilead, that store is nothing but a joke especially the employees in that particular store. The department managers are a joke and some of them should have been fired way before getting the job of being a department head or backup. These employees should have been fired after several months of getting employed. These employees would include from the Deli/ Bakery- AMY, LEANNE, ANNIE, Customer Service- Brandi, Marie, some other cashiers I don't know the names of them. That store has others who definitely need to be fired, they have been in the store 10+ yrs.

I like the store. The people were goos too. I was disappointed that they did not have Boar's Head deli meats. They also did not have Hoagie Spread like we get in Virginia.

Great hometown atmosphere. Store is always clean and the employees are always so nice. The lady who runs the help yourself registers this morning was so sweet and pleasant and even though I'm not a computer person she got me through it!

I had the opportunity to visit the flower department at Kroger's in Bucyrus. I needed a flower arrangement as a get well gift for someone in the hospital. I asked for some assistance since no one was at the counter and they called for someone right away. I was very surprised to see a young man come help me. His name was Jake. I asked him if he could make them look prettier. I had purchased a vase as well as a package assortment of flowers. I was very surprised at his talent at making packaged flowers into a beautiful arrangement. He had an eye for detail and knew just what the arrangement needed. He went above and beyond and he is an exceptional employee. He was very kind and patient with me. And we had a very nice conversation. He was a very polite young man, you don't run into too many of those. I felt like a valued customer and he went above and beyond to make my bouquet special! If you are ever in need of an arrangement of flowers ask for Jake at the Kroger's in Bucyrus. You will not be disappointed. I was very happy and impressed with his incredible talent at making something blah look impressive! The prices are excellent too! This was a 12.00 bouquet with a few more flowers mixed in. The vase was approx 14. It was a pretty pink design. And he added a beautiful purple bow! So final price was under 40.00

I like Kroger's. However, to have to show your ID and take it out of your wallet when you are obviously an older person is just studpid and rude. I will buy no more wine or beer at Kroger's. The clerk I dealt with had an attitude and complained she wasn't getting paid enough to put up with this (because I was questioning why Kroger's was doing this.) Maybe she was tired, but she shouldn't have said that to me. Not my problem.
