Since moving back to Bucyrus, I've been on the lookout for a trustworthy mechanic, and I found exactly what I was looking for at Hometown Garage. As a woman, I've unfortunately had experiences at other places where I was upcharged and condescended to. It's so refreshing to be treated with respect and not taken advantage of at Hometown Garage.
The team here not only does a fantastic job with repairs, but they also take the time to explain what needs to be done and why. I left feeling educated and confident about the work performed on my car. Their customer service is top-notch, and their prices are very reasonable. It's clear they value their customers and their reputation.
Hometown Garage has definitely earned my business again and again. If you're looking for an honest, respectful mechanic who provides excellent service at a great price, this is the place to go!

Owner is very knowledgeable and doesn't push things that are not needed. I had axles replaced on my truck. It was quick, painless and affordable. Highly recommended.

Jason and AustinMade going to the garage an easy experience i have a 1967 dodge coronet. They spent many hours chasing the issues on an old cars but was way more than fair when I got the bill. Also to ca r back for another problem and they found at was just a bad wire. So I took back part saving me a few hundred and no charges from the shop. They are too notch and best around.Services: Auto engine tuning

The owner's of this garage are top notch. They are honest and will fix your car right. They have worked on my car 2 times and they have been up front with me about my repairs and don't over charge you. 5 stars for me!!

My Jeep Compass had been starting to act funny. It would start stalling as I would accelerate, my break warning lights were on, service ABS warning, and I couldn’t go into 4WD. The codes on my car were reading that it needed to be serviced by a Jeep dealer. I had taken it to Spitzer Dodge Jeep and Ram in Mansfield, Ohio. They diagnosed my car as needing a new rear axle shaft with a broken stabilizer along with a new wheel sensor. I had to pay $160 for the diagnosis charge and then they wanted to charge me $900 to replace the parts plus whatever labor would of been. In the meantime, while waiting for a callback for parts to come in and schedule my service I called Home Town Garage. I had heard nothing but wonderful things about Jason and Austin and it was local so I decided to reach out to them in regards to the issues I had been having. I sent them the diagnosis I had got from Spitzers, they gave me a cheaper quote of $660 for everything and within a week they had ordered the parts and got my car in to fix it. As they took it apart they realized that my rear axle did not need replaced as the part on it that Spitzers claimed needed fixed was a part that didn’t even exist on my car! Immediately they called me to let me know what was going on and ALSO contacted Spitzers themselves to get answers and set them straight on how they were legitimately ripping me off. It turns out that all I needed was my wheel sensor replaced.. a total of $170 and it took care of all my issues. As for Spitzers, they couldn’t justify their diagnosis when confronted because they know it was wrong, not needed, and unethical. Jason could of replaced these parts even though I didn’t need them and I wouldn’t of known the difference. But instead he went above and beyond for me!! You don’t find many car mechanics around here with integrity like that. Thanks to Jason, I was also able to get my $160 diangosis charge from Spitzers refunded. I cannot recommend Home Town Garage enough. I will be giving all my future car business to Home Town Garage! Thanks again guys!!!

Jason has worked on my Jeep Wrangler for 4+ years. He has always given details about work needed, completes the work quickly, and prices have always been reasonable. Today, when my car wouldn't start, he came about a mile to give my car a jump start, I followed him to the shop and he replaced the battery on the spot. That is the kind of guy he is. He will tell you like it is and he is a man of the word. Will recommend him to others forever!
