Amazing place to have a wax! I'm never going anywhere else as long as Rhonne is around. It was nearly pain free and I've been free of ingrowns with her advice. She uses high quality wax and is so gentle. I'll def be back!

I am absolutely in love with this place and with the owner. I got my first Brazilian and let me tell you it was a breeze. I was terrified and a baby with pain so I expected it to be tough for me. It was the exact opposite. She used the best products, all natural numbed and calmed me. You can tell she is a pro because of the techniques she used and the very minimal amount of pain I felt. I felt like a new woman afterwards. Completely smooth, no irritation or pain after at all!! I can’t believe I went my entire life without getting this done. I’ll never go back to shaving and I’ll never go ANYWHERE else besides here. She is a master. I booked ahead of time and also made appointments for other services like a diamond microdermabrasion. I feel so grateful to have found this place. This is a MUST GO period. No where better around.Services: Body Waxing

I honestly can’t say enough good things about Ronnie @ Shumai-Chi. I went there for my first time to get hi-lights in my hair. Ronnie was so knowledgeable, nice, welcoming and made me feel comfortable enough to talk about my skin issues. After my hair appointment she took more time to do a treatment on my face. Who does that?!? Ronnie does. She went above & beyond for me! That is sooooo hard to find these days. Every time I went back my skin improved. She never pushed products on me, just explained what would work best and always let me sample before buying. Unfortunately, I moved out of state...I wish I could’ve brought Ronnie with me! I will miss her for sure! I would recommend her salon to ANYONE, ANYTIME!

Ronnie is great at her profession. I could not be happier or more satisfied with my haircut and beard trim, line up. I will never trim my beard myself again. Only Ronnie from now on.More than five stars!

If you would like to experience a little of heaven please indulge in the salon pleasures of Shumai-Chi “ The Skin Studio!†The organic studio was immaculate with warm and inviting colors which created a peaceful atmosphere for me. I always enjoy the one on one attention that Ronne gives to me as a client. With the organic color, my hair has never felt healthier, softer and has a shine that is radiant. As a child I was a natural blonde and Ronne has recaptured my original color with low lights using all organic products. It is a pleasure to carry Ronne's business cards with me because I often have people asking me where I get my hair styled and colored. Wow…even today I had my workout coach tell me that my hair was beautiful. Thank goodness I had Ronne's business card! Finally, I want to thank Ronne for always being very professional and going above and beyond for me; the services, products, conversations, and privacy of the building are like no other salon I have gone to…needless to say I will continue to come back because Shumai-Chi “The Skin Studio†is my new addiction!

Over the summer I wanted to switch from shaving to waxing so I chose Shumai-Chi based off of reviews online. I went for the Brazilian as my very first wax which was very painful but my second wax was much more comfortable like it's supposed to. My impression: TOTOALLY WORTH IT. I didn't grow a single hair for 3 weeks. I didn't get any bumps and the redness only lasted for 4-6 hours afterwards. Ronnie (the owner) is extremely picky about the products she uses and knows ALL of the ingredients that are in them. She will not put anything toxic on your skin. She also makes you feel very comfortable. I have to drive an hour to get there but it doesn't bother me whatsoever because of the exceptional service and the results that I have gotten. Unfortunately I had to leave for college which is out of state. And so far I can't find a place that gets me the same results that Ronnie does :( I was appalled when one place told me to use the rough side of a sponge to get rid of bumps after my wax. And my hair started to grow back after one week...next time I'm home on a break, I'm going back to Ronnie

Am so excited and happy to have an extremely clean and overall beautiful salon in Brunswick! My daughter and I had one of the best pedicures- ever. Lauraine and Natalie were very professional, but fun too. As soon as we walked in, the foot baths were ready- no waiting. The foot massage was excellent & the massage chairs (which I usually cannot stand) were really good. Overall, can't wait to go back!

First of all I loved this place before I even got there. Rhonne YOU ARE AWESOME!!!! She was great with me on the phone and made me feel really comfortable. Upon arrival I was met with a warm welcome at the door, all the women were very hospitable and very down to earth. I don't think I've ever walked into a business and felt at home until I met Rhonne. If you don't already belong to a salon THIS is the one to go to. MOST IMPORTANTLY PRICES ARE AFFORDABLE! This experience was totally worth it and I will continue to let them take care of me.

I have gone to Ronnie for years. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. She makes you feel relaxed and pampered while there. I switched to organic hair color and my hair is the healthiest it has ever been. I have made the switch to organic shampoo and conditioner because of the education that Ronnie gave me while there. I also began using to Yonka facial line and what a difference. Ronnie is a hidden gem and a wonderful caring person!

This is the only place I go to get my hair done and full waxing services are the norm. Rhonne and Alicia are both down to earth and very professional. Organic hair coloring and organic hair products are sold to keep up with your style. My hair and skin look and feel so much healthier! I never have to worry about getting some untrained person to wax me. Other spa services are offered too like nails, facials, and massages. I've been going to Shumai-Chi for years (before they relocated to the current location) for my hair and waxing services and I've always have been very satisfied with my service. They aim to please. I really don't understand the negative reviews. They literally will bend over backwards to make their customers happy and they are so friendly and positive. Best salon and spa in my book!
