I tried to open an account with this bank and they go deny me of opening an account but wouldn’t even tell me why. It shouldn’t be no reason why I couldn’t open an account here. This bank is a joke like seriously but what ever.

Don’t bank with this bank customer service is a joke they let someone I didn’t know in another state add a address to my account then they spent $180 on my card had to go through fraud department 2 times because they don’t speak English didn’t know what I was saying the first time then they left the other address on my account sent my new card to the out of state address 3 times

Cherie C was so friendly and welcoming. Her customer service is A++. She would be the deciding factor in choosing 5/3 bank for a lot of folks, I would say! Thanks again for a pleasant experience! ?

Never an issue with Fifth Third Bank. Everyone there always so nice and have helped me with any problems I had which were of my own doing. Been with this bank for years. Awesome Bank

Worst bank ever. sometimes when my checks clear they the funds are released to me in 3 different increments. I had an issue at a different bank due to the type of ID that I had in the branch manager at that foreign 5th 3rd told me that he did not know how much money he was able to give me I thought that I can call on my branch manager at my home bank in Brunswick while they were on the phone together the branch manager was unaware that she was on speaker phone. She said things like please be patient with him he is "of special character", Also said that they had "pretty interesting conversations with me so They encourage them to be patient with me" Mind you there are customers and bank tellers alike that can hear this going on over the phone I then informed the 2 managers that she was on speaker phone. She never told him that the amount that was allotted to me was 5k (using that particular form of id)that was the premise of my call but instead I was made a fool of in front of multiple customers and bank tellers alike..

Today, I had the opportunity to visit this bank. Being new to the area I drove thrue the drive through to cash a check given to me drawn on this bank. Not being a customer I was asked to come inside since I am not a customer of theres. I recently had surgery on both feet and still have difficulty walking upon entering I am asked if I wish to open an account with them. I inform them no I am not interested. So, after telling them I am not interested they inform me that the charge for me to cash a check drawn on there bank would cost me $62.I asked to speak to management and spoke to a over weight guy named guy named Alex who spoke down to me for choosing to not bank with this bank. This is exactly why, the customer service skills are terrible of the management of this bank. This individual then tried to imply I threatened a bank customer, when I asked him to speak louder an repeat it in which he did not, he all the sudden became bashful and shy. This bank will never receive another dime of mine!!

Making payments online takes weeks to go through. You get a pending notice one day and then nothing for weeks until it posts. Recently found the same bank check posted twice in consecutive months. Called the bank and they said they will have to look into it. The bank associate said it was the same check number and all the information was identical. No answer on how that could happen. $3000 taken from my account with the same bank check and no answers. Still waiting for a call from someone with a clue. Bank payee called me and asked me why I am still paying on a closed account. Now I have to go back and check all of my bank statements in the past few years to see if this has happened before. Outdated software and no chance of up to date information on accounts. Hard to balance a checkbook or savings when transactions take weeks. Should not take 7 days for a utility bill to transfer. Other banks took 24 hours. Debit card transactions sometimes post 3 days after purchase. Try keeping that documented when dates don't match and 3 people have access to the account. Home loan increased over $100 per month in less than a year after refinancing. Property tax go up in Brunswick? Rate savings gone. Just added closing costs to my loan again. One good thing about this location, Tellers are all nice. System and managers are beyond repair.

After a branch employee closed my secured credit card due to fraudulent activity I waited 30 days for my money from my secured card to be refunded. After calling and being put on hold and talking to 4 different people over 2hrs, I am told the employee closed the card with a pending transaction still going so until i pay that ( which i did right away because I had no other way of paying it since the card was closed and it showed zero balance) right away I find out I have to wait another 30 days for the funds to be released. Guess it's my fault the bank employee closed a card I had no access to or way of paying online since the acct was removed from my viewing. #sorry was the response
