After taking my dogs to Animal and Avian for 22 years I will not be going back. seems their loyalty to their patients and their priorities ($$$) have changed drastically. very sad.

We've been to Animal and Avian in the past and been pleased so it made sense to go to them when we got a dog recently. I was a good experience. Dr. Wilson and Chelsea were very calming for our anxious girl, Sugar. Both ladies are very knowledgeable and helped us learn training techniques for our reactive dog who is a rescue. They did a thorough physical exam and made suggestions regarding feeding and maintaining a healthy weight. Animal and Avian Medical Center was clean, had a spacious waiting room and pleasant staff. It will be our "go to" for Sugar.

Very poor customer service. I left a message on Thursday, I called back on Saturday when they said Dr Wilson would be back and they still never called me to answer my question's. I had an urgent question that needed an answer too.

Animal and Avian Medical Center has the nicest staff who will be gentle and kind to your fur babies! For me, it's always been hard for me to trust vets offices in the past, and my cats were always very scared of the vet. They always showed signs of distress afterward and it made me scared they weren't being treated properly. I have never worried once bringing my cats here! I've seen both Dr.Kirby and Dr. Haynes, and they are both fabulous! My whole family sees this vet office for everything now. My cats are calm and friendly with the vets and they are always loved on by the staff. Even if they need to be taken to another room for some thing, you can overhear the staff talking to your pet, being sweet, and talking to them as they walk down the hallway. If you have any concerns about your pet, they are patient and will listen to you and give you a list of all your options with an invoice for each. You will not regret coming here and you can trust that you're in good hands!

I accidentally showed up for my appointment on the wrong day and after a little wait the staff was able to take care of me and my kitty! I can't be more thankful for this vet! We will definitely be back! Thank you again!!

The price point for services is good, and the vet techs are kind, caring, and empathetic to your pets and your concerns. I was a bit disappointed with the vet. She did not listen well to concerns or what we do with our bird. She was not very empathetic when letting us know our bird passed after the surgery. And while the surgery went great, the objective was to save our bird and it failed. An understanding of our loss is more important. It really ruined our experience due to the vet's attitude towards us. It would be five stars if not for that

My dog developed a double ear infection. Was able to get in right away! Dr Polamar is so sweet and gentle. Very caring. The whole place has a great staff! Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Let me start by saying, I do not normally write reviews. But I feel compelled in this case. I brought our 9 year old Doberman here to be treated for kennel cough that she caught from her little brother who was seen and treated there days prior, by the same vet. The vet looked her over and said her lymph nodes were very swollen and that she should be tested for lymphoma. ($300 dollar test) but now I am terrified she might actually have lymphoma. So I proceed with the test. They tell me we have to wait 2 days for the results. Mind you. I did not stop crying for those 2 days because she had me convinced our girl had it. My boyfriend gets the call 2 days later to get the results, he is at work. He tells them to call his work phone because he can't hear, he works in a shop. The girl thinks she puts him on hold, and says, like I really care that this guy can't hear his phone. Super rude reaction for someone trying to find out if their baby has cancer!!!! So we find out results are inconclusive but negative? So after these inconclusive results her suggestion was to remove our girls lymph node for further testing for $800. So, We go for a second opinion to Pet Vet in Copley. She put our girl on high dose antibiotics and she was literally completely cured in 2 days and is thriving. Thank God. I pray that no one ever has to go through what we did. A lot of unnecessary tears and stress!

Truly wonderful staff! I can't say enough about the kindness, efficiency and compassion of the entire staff. The front desk has been particularly helpful yo me and my pup, Gatsby.

Doctor Wilson performed a ACL lateral suture on my Lab Ted and her knowledge and skill made the outcome great.Ted is getting back very quickly to his regular self.I highly recommend Doctor Wilson and her dedicated staff and assistants to anyone with anxiety about there pets care,thanks to Animal Avian for there care of my ?.

The staff does not listen to your concerns and they are overly aggressive with the handling of your pets. Brought my cat in because it was clear that something was wrong and he was extremely sensitive. They took him in the back for a blood draw and brought him back into the room torn to pieces and blamed my cat. I had to put him down that day because of the damage they did to him and they charged me hundreds of dollars to mishandle and kill my beloved pet.

My 5 month old kitten licked ant killer and poisoned herself. Animal and Avian was the closest vet so we rushed her there. The staff was calm and friendly and took her right back. They could of told me to go to an emergency clinic, but instead they treated her right away. Cannot thank them enough.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR BIRD HERE. On 11-1-21 me and my fiance took our blue and gold macaw in for a beak and nail trim with DR WILSON. When they came from the back we noticed our birds nail cut was cut too short and caused it to start bleeding. They fixed it and we checked out. We got home and took him out of his travel cage. We immediately called back due to our birds wing drooping. They said it was stress and told us call tomorrow. We called 11-2-21 and we were given the run around by Dr Wilson and staff. We were told to take our bird elsewhere while denying everything. We took our bird to a Exotic specialist who stated force would of been needed to break his wing in this fashion. Our bird is recovering after close to 3k in expenses. This place has no compassion for what they did while he was under their supervision.
