I would not return. This is likely the worst condition Holiday Inn Express we have stayed at. Rooms smelled bad, musty, and an old smoking smell. The hotel is run down. Carpets and room furniture is thread bare. The elevator made disconcerting sounds during operation.

Well we didn't actually end up spending the night here but we did talk to the desk clerk on the phone for a little bit about the rooms and everything but then we had to say somewhere else because of location but they were extremely helpful and very informative

Oh, fellow reviewers, you failed me. Perhaps it was just a bad day, but we did not enjoy our stay here. This is a "do not return" for us. The main reason is cleanliness. Upon entering our room, I noticed our shoes sticking to the tile in the entry way and bathroom. Sent hubby for paper towels in the car and proceeded to wet and wipe up the floor. The amount of grime that came off was impressive. We next noticed that the bathroom smelled super musty. It was hard to believe anything was truly clean after that. The AC was out on the main floor. I have to hand it to staff--could not have been a fun weekend to work with the heat wave going through. The AC in our room also didn't seem to keep up, even though we weren't on the top floor.
On the plus side, the beds were comfortable. And, the breakfast was fine--the staffer was doing a great job keeping things full.
Rooms: Beds are comfortable. We didn't find ours to be clean.

They charged $250 on my credit card said there was a smoke odor to the room which we did not smoke in so we checked out early due to the poor customer service!

Dont really know. You go to the desk, they say all booked, you go to your care, there are five booking services with rooms. So, as dead tired as i was, i continued to zanesville, my destination. There, i stayed at the Garland Hotel, which might be the best hotel on the planet

Rooms: Clean but old. Peeling ceiling in one room made me wonder if there was a roof leak. No comfortable chair in room. You could not sit on the bench seat under flat screen TV if you were over 5ft 6in without hitting your head on the TV.
Safety: Building seemed secure, side entrances require card key. Rooms and hallways have fire sprinklers and fire alarm system. Rooms have deadbolt and device that prevents door from being forced open when engaged.
Food & drinks: Standard breakfast fare.
Noteworthy details: Staff seemed friendly. Did not have any issues working with them.

Not a great experience. I was moved to three different rooms trying to find a clean one. I settled on the cleanest one that still had someone's hair ties in the shower.
During my shower I found that the body wash was empty. In the morning housekeeping banged on the door despite the Do Not Disturb sign. The tv had a serious lag. The clock was off by an hour for some reason.
Nothing major but all added up to a pain in the neck. The guy at the front desk was nice.

Nice stay here. Very comfortable beds, with everything I needed. Free cookies in the lobby!
Rooms: Clean rooms.
Walkability: Several restaurants are in walking distance.

Needed updated and a good cleaning. Pool was closed and wasn't advertised as so. Employees kept giving us different reasons/stories about when/if it would be open.
