Why does this store close early so often? It's extremely irritating!

Two transactions on 12/22/22. I was told the first one, that I wrote a check for would be voided. I then paid $200 in cash (2 $50 bills and 1 $100 bill). From my wallet.The next day the check was deducted from my account. Someone pocketed $50. I will not shop here again. Someone is lying. Expensive lesson learned.
