I worked with Harley over at Genie of Fairview. Completely satisfied. He was on time professional and knowledgeable. Did all the work for me came out measured and gave me several options on my replacement door. We came up with a fair price and very quickly got a date to install. Highly recommend this company. I have used them for several jobs.

Called company great experience at first with sales person and scheduling - storm hit so all of work that was supposed to be done was not completed - asked for a call back for which they want to charge more. I was a little suspicious as technician was telling me board is burned out but there is obviously clicking going on when buttons are hit and this would potentially cost another $3-400 - called a second company - came out put a cable back in place and said maybe rollers needed changed but new spring etc not needed and no board fried out due to storm - these people are working on the fact the general public know very little about how a garage door works and absolutely ripping people off - they told me (after the fourth call from me to settle the bill!!) that there were no boards for this model and a new system might be needed - the new company charged me $80 and it’s working - I cannot say enough about how shoddy this company has been - do not trust

TLDR: Free estimates, unless they actually come to your house then it's $80.
Our garage door stopped working after a power outage. We filled out the form on the website and someone was scheduled to come out. The website says "free estimates", and does not detail any other costs for service visits or trip charges.
After much back and forth and confusion about the scheduling, someone did come out; but, it was very late in the day and was 40 minutes later than the window we were given.
He pushed the buttons on the unit and confirmed it was dead. I told him the power to the outlet still worked, he did not confirm. He said the problem was a bad board, it's been happening all over the area after the power outage. But he had used his last board on a previous call and was going to have to come back to do the repair or install a new unit. He told us how much those things would be, and he left He was here about 10 minutes.
The next day, the garage door started working on its own, so we told them we don't need them to come back. Then they wanted to charge us $150 for a service call. We said the website says "free estimates" and that's all your guy did for us. Their response was they would only charge us $80 for a trip charge instead, since they sent a service technician out to the house.
At the end of the day, the problem is transparency with pricing. If it costs $80, the website should say it costs $80. Be honest in business, that's all.

Both the technician who came out to give the quote and the technician who did the installation were pleasant, neat, and professional. Everything went smoothly, the work and programming were completed in one visit, and I got what I paid for. It's such a pleasure when things just go right.

A spring broke on my garage door last week and my car was inside. I called Genie of Fairview as we have used their services for many years. I explained that I was stranded and needed to take a friend for an important medical appointment in 1.5 hours. They sent someone out within the hour to get my car out and came back the next day to repair the spring. Everyone in the office and the repairman were all great!
I highly recommend their services!

Great service. Appointments were timely and good communication. The technician did all he could do to repair, which he did, vs replace our old but well functioning unit. Would absolutely call them for any problems but hopefully will not do need to:)

Genie of Fairview knocked it out of the park today! I called them first thing this morning about a broken garage door spring, and everything went fantastic from start to finish. I received a window of time they could respond with a technician via telephone, and text. I also received a text before arrival giving me a heads up.
My Technician, Mark Simmons, doesn't mess around, no breaks, no standing around. He quickly diagnosed the issue at hand, and fixed it like a PRO. Like Santa Claus, Mark flew on to fix the next broken garage door, folks it is 3:30 PM on a nasty rainy Friday, and Mark Claus is tackling two more projects.
When the work, service, and parts are the best, I never bring up price! You want the best steak---then pay for it!
