Best senior community I have been to. After careful research and visiting other facilities, we moved my Dad in about 6 months ago. He is loving it and living his best life there! Food is excellent, care is top notch! All the caregivers and support staff have been friendly and wonderful. I have complete peace of mind knowing my Dad is well taken care of. We are so happy with my Dad's quality of care , my husband and I recently moved my mother-in-law out of another facility into Danbury. No other senior facility came close to the level and quality of care they receive.

If there was a "no star" option, I would have chosen that. This place is a joke. They do not take good care of their residents. I have a family member who has been there (not on her own will) and they neglect her. So very sad. The food is AWFUL!! For how much my family member is paying to "live" there, you would think that would have a better chef!!!! Do not even get me started on the nurses and aides!

I have lived at Danbury for 5 years and was the first resident. I picked a two-bedroom, two bathroom apartment on the first floor with a full kitchen so I can still cook if I wish. When I picked Danbury for me closet space was the most important and my apartment has 4 closets. There is a walk-in closet in the master bedroom, a hallway linen/coat closet, a double door closet in the guest bedroom and a 4x10 ft storage unit attached to my patio. I really enjoy having housekeeping and laundry and have become close with Yolanda the nurse and made so many friends. My favorite activity at Danbury is the exercise classes. I also use the fitness room on my own. The staff is a 10/10. We are looking for fabric and craft donations so we can continue to make cloths and dresses to donate to my church.

At noon on 8/15, the employee driving the company vehicle with plates HBG6369 went into speedway at Bennett's corners with no mask. Seen not just walking in but perusing the store without one. Scary to think what he could bring back

After looking at several senior communities in Ohio and California, we noticed the difference at Danbury immediately. Melissa Todd was our point of contact and gave us a great first impression that put my entire family at ease. We soon discovered that the positive vibes went far beyond the surface. The entire staff is responsive, caring and kind. From Nursing, to the Activities Department to Environmental Services, this community is staffed with angels. They turned what could have been a challenging move into pleasant, upbeat experience. The staff meets residents where they are and provides tailor made care. The apartments are spacious with great light. The food is top notch and my parents are already making new friends. We are extremely grateful to have found this place and feel like Mom and Dad are in great hands.

Danbury is a beautiful community, full of friendly, caring staff and the best residents. You will always be greeted in a warm caring manner. Daily there are a variety of creative, fun activities, something for everyone. I would definitely recommend to anyone who has a loved one in need of this type of care.

Broadview Heights is a fantastic Danbury location! Everyone is very friendly and tries to give the residents the feeling of being "home". It's great to see the residents smiles. I also enjoy having Doc (dog) there to greet everyone.

Hello Readers!I have worked in healthcare almost all my professional career and I can tell that Danbury has the right values in place for those families and residents who have realistic expectations and communicate those expectations. The staff is VERY caring and attentive. The Director of Nursing knows her stuff and the two assistance directors of nursing are the most hardworking nurses I have met in awhile. They do a phenomenal orientation with their staff and new residents are on a fast track to feel welcomed by others. The community is beautiful and the builders care about its curbside and interior appeal. Jeff the head Chef is such a blessing. Where else can you go that you can get something as simple as a grilled cheese or as extravagant as a New York Strip steak always available to the residents. Not to mention, they have two specials for lunch and dinner EVERY day!Other things to consider: 1. They have Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care all on one campus. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO MOVE APARTMENTS when you graduate from independent living to an assisted living status! This is a huge advantage to consider when looking for Senior Retirement Options. 2. Respite Ready - they can suggest a respite stay with NO-MINIMUM days of stay required. That's unheard of!You will always find a mixed bag of reviews on any company providing care. Be your own adviser and stop in to take a tour so you are able to make your own judgement call! Its all about your gut feeling and experiencing the Danbury Difference!

Since starting my new career in assisted living at Danbury I’ve grown a new appreciation for caring for the residents and there families. With the proven leadership of Danbury Broadview Heights Executive Director and the passion of all other departments I’m excited about what’s to come.

My mother stayed here a few years ago. We would not recommend this place for anyone who’s family member suffers from Dementia/Alzheimer’s. As she became less independent her care suffered. The true test of a Memory Care facility is how well that facility is able to care for a resident who becomes 100% dependent on that care. As my mother’s health declined so did her care. Staffing was HORRIBLE!! Over a 9 mo period my mother had 4 falls; those were the ones we knew about because she had obvious injuries. On one occasion she had to have 9 stitches to the back of her head. The others resulted in severe bruising and limps which we noticed on the other residents as well. The final draw for us was when I showed up one afternoon to find her in bed and unresponsive. I held on to her hand to to wake her but she was unresponsive. It was at that time I noticed she was burning up with a fever. At once I notified the nurse who had no idea of her condition - saying she just arrived for her shift. Apparently Mom had been like this for about 2 days. My sister asked the nurse on duty to call an ambulance. The nurse contacted the Dr on staff to get approval for this. The Dr denied the request saying that my mother would be fine. My sister then called the dr. on staff - they went back and forth arguing about getting my Mother to the ER. The nurse on staff told my sister that even though the dr told her, “if the family wants an ambulance - they can call one for themselves!” The nurse said, “I’m going to call one for you anyway!” Finally, they did something right!! Once at the ER she was admitted immediately. It was then determined she was severely dehydrated and had a bad uti. Her Dr said a few more days and she would have been gone!! (My sister asked Danbury to test her for a uti weeks before because Mom seemed very lethargic and confused.) She never fully recovered from this and continued to decline at a very fast rate. I am sickened by the lack of care at so many of these facilities. Staffing seems to be a very big problem across the board. Unfortunately this isn’t the end of the story. My mother was diagnosed about 4 yrs ago and has been in and out of 4 diff facilities for similar reasons. Currently in hospice. Do your homework and keep a watchful eye on your loved one. The 4 and 5 star ratings on some of these places is very misleading. Our aging parents deserve so much better!!
