This is one of my favorite stops in BG! Great desserts, decadent drinks, and a fantastic atmosphere for the intro/extrovert as there are tables set around for board games, chess matches, a big enough table for a D&D group, as well as smaller tables and set ups for bookworms and artists. I really want to try the lunch food sometime, but I absolutely loved the Italian Lemon cake and the Chocolate Lovin' Cake.

I absolutely love this little gem. I've been here so many times, but I haven't been able to try all of their goodies. They have SO MANY to choose from. I have wonderful service EVERYTIME! My 6 year old loves looking through the books because everytime we go, the stock has changed! Super affordable prices! CHECK IT OUT!

The Barista confused with how a cappuccino is made and just confused the h... out of me and screwed up my whole order. I asked for a double cappucino which is in most worlds two shots, double the size of a single capuccino. She was trying to explain to me that a double cappucino is 3 shots of espresso I have no ideal what math the Barista learned. Anyways the Bartista were friendly and but the order was wrong.

This wonderful coffee shop/bookstore/chess gathering spot/music venue embodies the spirit of Bowling Green. Spend a morning at Grounds and you'll know why so many people love this establishment.

This is a must stop location for anyone passing through BG. A staple of the community for decades, it is run by a really nice couple who truly give back to the community while offering up a unique vibe and atmosphere. While they're in my hometown, I am very well traveled and I can say without a doubt, it is difficult, if not impossible, to find any place quite like Grounds.I make sure to stop by at least once each day when I'm in town visiting. The coffee is always great with delectable choices that change each day. Also, I run into friends most of the time I sit for a bit, which is always a bonus whenever it happens ^,^
Dietary restrictions: They do have a few gluten free items always available.
Wheelchair accessibility: Some of my friends who are in wheelchairs roll on in with ease, and the tables can all accommodate ^,^

Love this place! Coffee and service are excellent and the atmosphere is one of a kind. One of these days I’ll try some of the items in the bakery case…they look fantastic!!

Y'all I've found it. The gem of Bowling Green. If you are in the area, you must must must stop here. Honestly, it's been along time since I found a place so honestly charming and delightfully vibrant for every single human on earth. Let's start with the obvious reason for this review... the coffee. They have so many different choices and options. It can be overwhelming, but just ask them for a recommendation and they will help you figure out what your dream order is. They are so friendly and helpful that I really wish I could transport them into some of the places I visit more often where I live. The ambience is some thing out of a movie I would say. It ranges from coffee shop to study hall to hippie listening corner to bookworm to an I just need to chill kind of vibe. You can also buy just about anything. My friends and I insisted on getting matching sweatshirts because we wanted to encapsulate our visit forever in our brains and hearts. But you can also pick up local art, records, books, and the obvious an afternoon or morning pick me up and sandwich . Even if you're not in town, and you're somewhat close, within an hour, or so, still, plan a visit. You won't be sad you did.

Around 10 years ago, my wife and I moved out of BG. One of my most sincerely felt losses was moving away from Grounds for Thought. I came back for the first time and found not a single change has happened while I've been away. The smell of freshly brewed coffee mingled with the smell of old books hangs in the air. Well stocked with a wide assortment of books and music, its a peaceful retreat from the bustle of daily life.

Generally yummy. Coffee sometimes burnt, and too eager to hand out Styrofoam cups instead of proper mugs. Staff generally nice when it's not busy.

A wonderful place to go and get a cheap but delicious latte. The smell of the shop is incredible. From the first time I can remember going in, as a small child, I've been in love with the heavy aroma of coffee, beans and various spices upon walking into the shop. It's like they aerosolize lattes. It's very peaceful, and everything is so calm and laid back. It's a great place to go with the book and do homework or just chill with your friends

This is a place I usually stop at when in BG. I love that it's a coffee shop that sells books and vinyl. It smells wonderful when you walk in and everyone is so friendly. The prices are fair and I usually find at least one thing while there. I've attended an event there and while it does get cramped it just feels like chilling at a friend's house.

I love their coffee and the staff is always friendly. Service is slow but the coffee is worth the wait. They also have very good apple fritters. It's nice to grab a coffee and be able to sit there and read.

This is my favorite coffee shop in town. The coffee and service are great and the atmosphere can't be beat. There are different parts of the store where you can enjoy a good conversation or quietly enjoy a book.
