I brought in my laptop since it wouldn't turn on/didn't seem to be charging. They charged me 130$/hr for labor, not counting repairs--whether that's high or low, I'm offering that information to you in the interest of full disclosure. They failed to write down my phone number correctly and chose to send me a letter, which is a little odd for a computer company. (If you're reading this, owner, I'd recommend adding email as an alternate contact method.)As it turned out, my charger was the problem, not my laptop. On top of pricing for labor, they added the cost of a new charger-- 60 dollars-- as a matter of course. I asked what the specific model was so I could research competitive pricing, which they angrily refused, so I just asked if I could pay for the labor and nix the charger. As suspected, online retailers were selling them for half the price. They said something about "keeping the lights on," and I can understand it's difficult for small businesses to compete with Amazon prices, but it was a little shocking for them to show such visible anger when their attempt at fleecing failed.Tldr;Potential customers, check your invoice and do your research. They may act as though you have to buy whatever part or accessory they put on your bill, but you don't. Above all, beware the upsell.

Fairly disappointed with my experience. My laptop screen needed to be replaced, and it was replaced with a low-quality screen. I can no longer see vivid colors on my screen, highlights and etc. The frame around my screen was cracked in all four corners, and I was not informed of this until I found out on my own. I wish I was communicated with, I could understand a mistake in removing the frame that caused the cracks. But I was not informed at all which made it seem as if they were trying to avoid fault. Customer service was good and I could tell they cared, but really disappointed with the results.

My girlfriend had her screen replaced on her laptop and they charged her a ridiculous amount of money for "labor". For a screen replacement of this scale you literally take the screen off, detach the ribbon cable, reattach the cable and fit the new screen in. Not 120$ worth of labor to me. I could've done it for a lot less. They have a fast turnaround, and got the screen in fast. But not worth that amount of money.

Had Ken cobble together some PCs I had problems with into one functioning PC.Been a month since and boy oh boy is it more than just "functional." I haven't had so much as a hiccup with the PC that he made. It's quiet. It doesn't overheat. It runs all the programs I wanted. For a PC made from outdated parts I had, man does it keep up. And he worked fast and was understanding the whole time. Explained to me what he was planning to do, and broke it down into terms a novice like me could understand. Worked out what I wanted. All in all, great experience. I know who I'm coming to when I have PC issues. Thank you.

I have yet to take a computer to them for repair but the service was amazing when I brought in the main components from a dismantled 2003 Dell Dimension 3000 for recycling. Definitely recommend them.

Great service. Very informative about buying a computer and transferring data from my old PC to the new one. Couldn't be happier.

Great service. If you need any help with computer issues these are people to take it too. Very friendly staff, and they don't try to cheat you by upselling you on stuff you don't need.

Bad communication. Paid 116 bucks for them to tell me my computer was broken and say they would help but didn’t communicate till I called. Ken

Went above and beyond expectations. They identified the problems, dealt with the RMA, and fixed the computer up great! I would recommend them to anyone.

I'm pretty proficient with computers. Especially hardware. But I am limited to what I can do because I lack specialized tools and software. So, when I can't solve my own problems (and that's happened a couple of times in the past 3 or 4 years) I take my computer to Applied Imaginations. I've never been disappointed. Ken is thorough and very professional. There are some who think that they should not be charged to diagnose a problem. If you think about it, it's the accurate diagnosis which usually costs the most. Parts and the knowledge to use the tools is fairly easy. It's know where "to put the screwdriver" that sets the pros apart from the amateurs. I would highly recommend them.

DO NOT GO HERE! Desktop tower power supply failed. Took it to them to verify the problem and they said it would be a couple days till they could get to it, and if it was the problem (which it was), they quoted an estimate $150-$175. That's how much the I bought the computer for. Took it to another place and he diagnosed the problem for me in half an hour (I was right, power supply failure) and told me what part to buy online and that I could do it myself. BRAND NEW PART FOR $35! If you want to save your wallet, steer clear from these guys, they know you don't know anything and want to make some money.
