The Goddard School of Boardman has been a wonderful experience for my children. The teachers truly love what they do and get our children excited about learning and growing their social skills. The entire staff is kind and so always eager to help with any of my questions. The teachers have gone above and beyond to help my children be comfortable in the classroom and make learning fun! I believe my children will have a successful transition into kindergarten thanks to the amazing teachers and support of the staff at The Goddard School of Boardman!

Do NOT take your children to this place.
They do not care who they accept, as long as you can pay the premium tuition of $1000 per month.
My 80 year old mother who lived alone had a stroke in December. Resulting in my children & I moving back to the area from California to care for her. My husband remained in California to work. While I am here through summer with the kids alone. I currently am homeschooling a 10 & 6 year old online at home. While we also have a 3,4 and 10 month old in the house. I enrolled my 3 & 4 year old at Goddard to get them out of the house so the boys could school in peace. Rachel the owner did not ask any questions when I called, she simply stated there was room for both in a 4 day program. I came in that day handed her $2600 in cash for the registration & month for both children. She happily welcomed them both.
I paid on a Friday. The following Monday was Presidents day, so they would not be able to start until Wednesday. I spent 3 hours filling out there registration & child information packets. I paid my babysitter $25 an hour to stay with my other children & mother while I took the 2 kids to get there physicals completed. In total a good 6-7 hours of my time getting them enrolled & $150 between co-pays & a babysitter.
When Wednesday came my children went to their first day.
They had an OK day. I packed both of them extra large lunches that day not knowing how anything worked if they stayed late (6pm latest pickup). If they had lunch at what time & if they were able to go back & eat from their lunch later in the day. When I picked them up at 5pm my kids told me the teachers made them throw all their food away, even sealed packaged food. Which does not make sense in any way shape or form. I can understand throwing away fruit, a half eaten sandwich, yogurt etc. But why sealed granola bars, fig bars, any of these things? These are all things that could be used towards the next days lunch. Absolutely no reason to throw them away. My 3 year old was especially upset about this. It's all he talked about. I told them both I would bring it up tomorrow at school. The next day at school at drop off I spoke with both teachers & they agreed. It did not make sense. Yet again upon pickup that day their lunch boxes were completely empty & they said the same story. Their teachers told them lunch was over throw it away whatever is left. That bothers me. As a mother of 5 children food in my house hold is a whole expense in itself. Now I care for & cook for my mother. So there is NO acceptable reason good food should be going in the trash.
That day upon pickup as I was leaving the heavy set lady in the office (I do not recall her name) walks out & hands me an envelope filled with money. She said my children could no longer attend the school. I was so caught off guard. She said "Rachel emailed you." I asked why & she said that my children are unvaccinated & it was school policy in the handbook that they must be vaccinated.
The day I came in to enroll, I paid my $2600 & that was it. Rachel walked us to the room my daughter would be in. Then the room my son would be in. I was given 2 folders with paperwork for both to bring back the following week. Never a booklet of policies or school rules etc. No one ever gave me a tour. Went over anything. I was paid and they were enrolled. That was how it was handled.
With the situation at home with my boys needing to be online to finish the remainder of the school year I needed the 2 little ones out. Atleast a few days a week to give the boys some peace to do their studies in. My children have never gone to a daycare, preschool, anything. It took us as a family the entire week to hype my little 2 up on how great this was going to be for them. That they would get to do crafts, make friends, play etc. Finally when I had them excited the school just hands me an envelo

The Goddard school has educated, competent teachers with a small ratio of students and teachers. The smaller ratio fits my daughter best because she gets more 1:1 time with her teachers. They are very curriculum focused and the 1st month my 2 year went, not only did her speech improve immensely, her social skills as well. Highly recommend!

I love this school. All of the faculty and staff are friendly, well educated in their fields, easy to work with, and work so well with the students. My son has grown and matured dramatically since he's started at Goddard, and it's only been a few weeks. This school is definitely filled with people who are passionate about their jobs, and the growth and development of their students.

I think it is a very enriching experience for my son to be interacting with other kids his age and being stimulated in a learning environment by a structured curriculum taught by caring instructors.

I absolutely love the Goddard school, they are so wonderful there. Every teacher my kids have had really do have their best interest at heart and want to see them succeed. They truly care about each individual! I’ll never forget the first time I took my daughter there at 6w old, I thought for sure I’d have to just keep introducing her to the new faces I saw but no. They addressed her by name right from the start and just treated me with such kindness as a new mother at the time, trying to figure everything out. While it is definitely an investment, knowing that my kid is not only well respected but is well loved and cared for in addition to being encouraged to learn about the world around them, just means so much. Especially during this pandemic, any time I have questions about my kids or just want to see how they’re doing they’re always super receptive to scheduling calls to chat!

I can't say enough good things about Goddard. Being a first time mom, I was anxious to leave my newborn daughter. But the owner and staff completely alleviated all my fears. The staff is so wonderful! I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Goddard has been a wonderful preschool and child care experience for my family. Each member of the staff who has worked with and cared for my son is kind, caring, and competent. In regard to my son's physical care, over the years we've been at Goddard, the staff has periodically assessed my child's individual needs, approached me with suggestions as to how they believe they can best care for him, and customized his care accordingly. Academically, Goddard's preparation of my son for kindergarten has exceeded my expectations in every way. Most importantly, when I leave my child at Goddard, I do not have to worry about his safety or well-being. I highly recommend choosing Goddard for the care and/or education of your children!

Goddard has been apart of my family for almost 10 years. At a young age each of my three sons were welcomed into the Goddard School with loving arms. The teachers and administrators at Goddard created a learning environment that promoted the social, the emotional, and the cognitive growth of each of my children. Learning activities have always been and continue to be child-centered with a specific focus on meeting the individual needs of each child. Furthermore, each level of instruction encourages family participation through parent-friendly daily lesson plans, invitations to classroom activities, invitations to school activities, and invitations to just pop-in visits. As my journey at the Goddard School comes to a close, I am filled with many emotions; happiness that my three sons got to experience a school setting that put the needs of children first, excitement about the knowledge each of my sons have gained, and sadness that this year I must say goodbye to a piece of our family. I am forever grateful to the staff, under the leadership of Kim Lipari, for helping shape our sons into the wonderful young boys they are today.
