This review is being written specifically to reach Sheetz corporate, because the store-level staff had no ability or authority to resolve a basic customer service failure.
We ordered two large fries through the Sheetz app because it advertised an 18-minute wait time. We left late intentionally to align with that estimate. By the time we arrived and paid, the time passed had already reached 25 minutes, and it continued to increase.
After waiting longer, I asked for an ETA and was told no one could provide one. During this time, I overheard employees telling new customers that the wait was three hours. My order had already been placed well before that, yet no one could explain how the app could be that inaccurate or where my order was in the queue.
When I requested a refund, I was told the manager was “too busy” to issue refunds because he was working on orders. The two employees I spoke with repeatedly stated they were “associates” and had zero authority to issue refunds, escalate issues, correct app inaccuracies, or even forward customer concerns. They also disclosed that a manager quit the previous day, which was clearly impacting operations.
What was most concerning is that the associates genuinely appeared frustrated and overwhelmed, almost looking to customers for help—as if these problems had already been raised internally and ignored. This did not feel like employee failure; it felt like a systemic breakdown.
Instead of resolving the issue, I was told over five times to “call and complain.” That is not customer service—it is deflection.
It was also evident that Sheetz is operating multiple order queues, including a prioritized queue for DoorDash, while app and in-store customers are left waiting indefinitely with no transparency. Neither the app nor the in-store experience reflects real wait times, which makes ordering ahead misleading at best.
As of now, I still have not received my refund for the two large fry orders.

Nice place. Many different fuel options. I'm glad there is a drive thru. Sometimes I'm feeling lazy.

This is a great Sheetz. Friendly staff and quick service. Lots of choices for different foods, drinks, snacks, fresh coffee, and more. I always find the lobby and restrooms to be clean and well maintained.

Horrible, just absolutely horrible. Go to get go across the street. Understaffed, long wait times and orders are always wrong. I could literally go get a sit down steak dinner faster than this place

Man, Sheetz has changed a lot since I moved away. Was excited for a chance to visit while back up North, but waited over 20 minutes for a small MTO. Used to be they would have the food ready before you even had a chance to pay. At least we have Buc-ee's!

Twice I've ordered for for delivery and both times my food was cold and messed up. On one order I didn't receive my fries and the pizza looked like it was tossed in the box, this time not only was the food cold but it wasn't made the way I ordered it and the pizza again looked nasty. How can it be cold when it's 2 minutes up the road!? There will not be a third time.
I order delivery only because I'm at work and can't leave

One of the managers would not accept my valid paper ID and asked me for my expired non valid one instead. This isn’t protocol ANYWHERE. If the courthouse takes my paper ID so can SHEETZ. If you don’t know what valid ID is then what exactly is the point of having a cashier at the gas station at all.

I really enjoyed stopping at this gas station on my way from Ohio to Pennsylvania. What would make it even BETTER is if they were more conservative on their energy use. Gas stations that play music outside and then inside, really are just wasting energy and spendingore on their energy consumption rates. Eventl if people don't believe in climate change conserving energy is a common practice that doesn't hurt. No offense to any businesses but the music y'all play sucks anyways! That's why people have headphones because they listen to their own vhoice of music. Playing music doesn't serve anyone, doesn't help anyone, if businesses would save on their energy costs then they can apply those savings to having their customers save on things such as sales, offers etcetera. We have to work together to make things better for ourselves. Heat waves in the North are only getting more common and more frequent. It takes a village to save the village.

I wish I could give 0 stars, I’m currently sitting in the drive through where I’ve been for the last ten minutes…and I’m just waiting on two hotdogs.

Great food and friendly staff. Orders take a LONG time to come out because of understaffing
