This was the second time I used them the first time I thought it was the transmission the tech told me axel. He was right they fixed it. The second time, I thought transmission on another car. The tech said drive shaft. He was right this time I fixed it myself. Great service very friendly. Highly recommend them.

I am 71 years old. Not mechanically inclined. First transmission problem in my life. Redlich was very patient to explain the process. They gave me a quote that was VERY competitive. I choose to get work done by a family member. I guess time will tell if I made the correct decision.

I had an issue with my 2016 Chevy Silverado 6L80 transmission. I stopped at another transmission shop and was turned off by their pushy sales method. So I asked around. A guy I know that works for the county told me county vehicles with transmission problems always go to Redlich Transmissions on Steel Street in Youngstown. They have had good experiences with the shop. So I stopped by the Redlich shop and talked with Ron Redlich. He had his head tech take the truck for a test drive. Based on that he suggested doing further diagnostics and dropping the pan. I agreed and they found that the transmission was failing. So they gave me some options and we went with a heavy duty transmission from Certified with a full warranty. They were very nice during the entire process. Even gave me a ride home. Redlich Youngstown built a transmission for my fathers gto. A 700r4. Lasted less than 1000 miles. Dad died years back and we finally put car back on road. After disassembly of transmission, found there was one missing check ball, one in wrong location. A band installed backwards and several parts were not replaced or refurbished. It’s like it was built from extra junk parts. If you want a reliable transmission….go elsewhere. Not enough was actually good enough to salvage trans as a core.Service: Transmission

They said my car needed a transmission and it would cost me $4000 for a new one. Didn't feel good about it and took it somewhere else for a second opinion to find out my car doesn't need a new transmission,it was a electrical problem. They just wanted to take me for $4000and that wouldn't have even fixed the problem. So very disappointed after all the good reviews I have heard and read. Will never recommend them.Service: Air & cabin filter replacement
