As a parent whom enrolled their child in MA Blacklick after being a little reluctant from the negative reviews, I can honestly say all those reviews are not the MA Blacklick that I have come to love. Every teacher in that building has shown nothing but genuine love and respect to my family. Chelsey goes above and beyond to run an amazing program. My child is a true Covid baby, home for childcare until we enrolled them in the preschool program this summer. They are very shy, cried a lot and it took months for them to get comfortable. I just knew I would get a call saying it’s not working out. However, I never did! In my opinion Michelle should not need to frequently be there knowing she hired a leader who is able to smoothly run the school. One that is thriving and it is evident by how much parental involvement there is at every school event. BTW, the locations is one of the best perks for my family!

I received a call saying my child was sick and needed to be picked up. He had a fever of 99. I told the caller I would be there as soon as I could. I was working so had to get coverage. Within 3 hours later I arrived at the facility. On my arrival, I was threatened by Chelsey Rodgers in regards to my child being sick saying she should have called the emergency squad since I didn’t arrive within 2 hours. I told her that she should have, if she could not handle my child an hour past the timeframe, in which, she never told me, I had. Chelsey grew upset because the conversation wasn’t going as she planned. When I calmly made a valid point, she then went on to tell another employee to grab my infant things as he is being withdrawal. When the employee was hesitant and appeared to be very confused at Chelseys outburst, Chelsey than yelled across towards the infant room to grabbed everything as they will not be returning, all in front of 2 employee as well as a parent picking up their child. Chelsey has related unprofessionalism several times that day and has express that she does business with a personal mindset. Respectfully, I expressed that she raised her voice at me several times being unprofessional, which she reluctantly apologized for. However, this conversation should have been handled in a private room/setting as Chelsey enclosed personal things out on the open for everyone to hear. Moving past that, the owner, Michelle was no where to be found on which she is never at the Blacklick location she is usually at a different location. I attempted to call her several times, left several voicemails and emails with no return of anything. Those two are meant to be in business together as I can see them being the reason why the daycare alone isn’t thriving as it should. No parent should feel safe to leave their child there as owner is never present and the other do not know how to handle a situation without stepping out of character. Both expressed unprofessionalism, careless behavior. Beware as you’ve been warned.

OMG! I had a tour here last night for our 3 and 8 year old! Ms. Chelsey was quick to get us in for a tour as this time we are getting rushed back to work. Our plans of leaving our girls where they currently are until Fall quickly changed when we met with Chelsey and seen the building. She sold us! She knew what she was talking about and very sweet! We are so glad to be leaving our current center to come to Michelle's!

I worked here briefly due to moving and finding a career move … the owner, Michelle, didn’t pay me for the hours I worked and I’ve sent her messages (15 texts) and never got a reply back. I only worked a week but her lack of communication is unsettling and disturbing for being the owner of a company.

Wananya - I am very surprised by a 2 star review - Since your children have been enrolled here since they were born, and still currently?

Terrible very unprofessional place. Go with Ms. Susie who’s now teaching previous students that once went here from home now. Michelle is a piece of trash, she has no ethics or morals and gets involved in domestics when she shouldn’t.

I wish I could give a negative five. A terrible place. Beth yells at the kids and hires unqualified women just to have a body there. They don't care about the kids. Don't be fooled by the pretty building from the outside because there are ugly people on the inside!

This Pre-school is TERRIBLE! My son was there for a little less than 9 months. The turnover rate is extremely high. My son had over 5 different teachers, before I decided to remove him. There was no structure or stability. The director Beth seemed annoyed and like she didn't really enjoy her job at all. The owner Michelle was very UNPROFESSIONAL! She requires that all parents do automatic withdrawal to make sure she gets her money, but provides terrible service in return. My son's first teacher was Phenomenal and left after three years, because she wanted to be somewhere she could be appreciated, grow and have benefits. Michelle is paying her staff around $10 an hour without any medical benefits and no raises. I tried to give the school a chance after she left, but I saw a downhill spiral and teachers in and out. The final straw was one day I came to pick my son up and he was potty trained and was saturated in urine and feces! When I walked into the classroom he was sitting in a chair looking very disheveled and visibly upset. He had an appointment we had to attend shortly after and when I asked him to get up to put his coat on he cried refusing to stand up. After standing him up I realized he had a pull up on that was saturated through his pants. This takes hours of NEGLECT! Once I pulled his pants down he had poop stuck to him that had clearly been there for HOURS. When I addressed the new young completely inexperienced staff member she rolled her eyes and told me that she just checked him thirty minutes prior. I was so upset at not only the care my son was receiving while I was at work, but how things were handled after the fact. I immediately changed my son, (which took over 30 minutes) due to the state he was in, making me miss an appointment he had scheduled. I spoke with the Director Beth in tears, because it was such a terrible feeling to know my son was being neglected, while I thought he was in good hands. Beth informed me that the owner was out of town and she would have her call me when she returned after apologizing for what she was able to witness herself. The Owner Michelle never called me, as her preferred method of contact was email. I had to email her multiple times regarding the matter before I got a reply. Once she did reply she said she already addressed the matter and that there would be potty sheets handed out everyday going forward. I respectfully addressed her unprofessional behavior as I had requested a meeting or phone call to discuss matters rather than a dismissive email. She then apologized and made it difficult to meet. This was the FINAL STRAW! I took off of work and diligently did interviews to find him a place that was professional and provided exceptional care and service and I'm so happy that I did. I hope this review helps!

Due to terrible working conditions and being treated very rudely by staff, I quit after working two months. I had a Full two week paycheck due but Michelle withheld it from me. Causing my car payment to be late, my phone bill being late and my checking account going negative. She’s refusing to take my calls and blocked my phone number after ONE call! I DO NIT RECOMMEND!! TERRIBLE WORKING CONDITIONS! I have a two year old daughter who I WOULD NEVER LET Go to this daycare!
