Village Hardware in Bethel, OH is a true asset to the southern Clermont County area! They have knowledgeable staff who are extremely helpful. Every time I walk in the door someone asks, “What can I help you find?” This is especially helpful in situations like today when I was looking for repair/replacement parts for the plumbing under my kitchen sink, and even when I was wrong about what I needed I went back with parts I took off and they were able to help with a refund and exchange for the right parts. I'm not a professional plumber, but I can do repairs with the support Village Hardware employees give in finding the right parts. Thanks to their help, we have our water turned back on and no leaks. I can't wait to come back for garden supplies, or anything less stressful than plumbing!

Village Hardware; WHAT A PLACE! Walk in the front or back door and you step back in time to a place where customers were the utmost importance. They have everything right here locally. Save yourself a 60 minute round trip down to Beechmont big box places. I moved back to the Bethel area 8 years ago and these folks are my first knowledgeable resource for wood art, repairs and remodeling. Do not be fooled because most of the staff are women. They know what they are doing and know where to find everything. Go there. It is an adventure.

Veteran's Day 2023.
I bought a home in Bethel approximately 5 years ago. Being a single disabled veteran woman, I had big challenges in keeping my home well maintained, but I try very hard to maintain a home that my neighbors and fellow villagers would enjoy looking at. Many times I had a lot of questions about different projects I was working on. I went to Village hardware the first few years I lived here and in all honesty I found the people who worked there to offer me very little help as far as advice on my home was concerned, nor did they demonstrate very much, if any friendliness. I felt as if I were annoying them and I don't like feeling that way. As time went by, I just chalked this up to being a very small store that couldn't supply all the things I needed.
Fast forward to the last two years, the experience goes like this: I walk into the store with my questions and stand at the counter while Luanne works on her computer. I wait, and then I wait some more. I wound up trying to find the things for myself as she never did look up from her screen. This wasn't just an isolated occurence, it seemed that every time I would go in there, I was never greeted, yet, I have heard her enthusiastically greet other customers. As I was driving by on Vet's Day this year, I read her sign about how much she cares about veterans. Could this mean that this applies to only a select few veterans and not me?
Here is the conclusion I have come to; I never experienced being given any honor or respect when I went in there. If Village Hardware puts a sign out that states how much they care about vets, they should forget about the lip service and their advertising aimed at vets to purchase there and actually show some one- on-one respect. I never experienced much friendly behavior there at all and I am pretty sure I fit the bill as an honorably discharged, service connected, 100% disabled veteran. Believe me I paid all of my dues for the 100% disability as any vet will tell you.
I don't go into Village hardware anymore, I spend my hard earned military compensation award at a place that at least smiles at me when I walk in. I really thought about this before I wrote it and I truly believe it needed to be brought up.

This place has it all. They have bailed me out on many occasions and made our family feel very welcome. We thoroughly enjoy shopping there because of that and the fact that they carry such a broad range of things. So thankful that we have such a fantastic small business that is locally owned.
