They were not nice to me or my dog...would never ever take any animal here

My wife brought in our cat, who had been hit by a car and needed to be put down. Unfortunately, she didn't think to get the money first, because a suffering animal doesn't take precedence over being paid for this establishment. My wife was treated rudely, led to think that they would not euthanize the cat without the payment. She scraped up $97 of the $222 needed, and they finally did the deed after they were properly assured she'd be back with a check for the rest (which they made a point of reminding her of several times). She was there an hour on what was already a horrible day for her, and left a blubbering mess.
I went there with a check after work and complained about the terrible service and was met with excuses and denials from one of the ladies at the front counter.
The reason they have two stars is that the vet herself called and apologized to my wife when she had heard about it. I cannot say, she may be an excellent vet, but unfortunately you have to get through her staff to get to her.

I can't give zero star's. We didn't take my dog there but did make an appointment which was a week away from when we called. Charged $55 to book appointment and said we would get our money back if we could find something sooner because we didn't want to wait that long. Found something for the next day at a different vet. Called york and they said we couldn't have our money back and said they do what they got to do. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Guess I should've read the reviews on here first. A lot of bad one's ?. They probably don't look at these reviews but if so all I have to say is?

Used to go to this vet years ago.I immediately stopped going to this Vet office after the last visit there as the Vet projected very rude behavior, and attitude because my Dog eats a plant based diet.At the end they tried to give me a packet about “Proper Dog Nutrition” to “educate” myself. I am shocked that a Vet would react that way especially since a plant based diet is VERY healthy for Dogs.In fact, Earlier in the year of 2022 the largest study on the issue to date found that plant based diets were in fact healthier and safer for dogs."Our study is by farthe largest study published to date and it revealed that the healthiest and least hazardous dietary choices for dogs are nutritionally sound plant based diets.”(Said Prof Andrew Knight,at the University of Winchester, UK, and who led the study.)The study looked at the health of more than 2,500 companion dogs for the study, finding that plant based dogs had less visits to the vets and less health disorders than those eating meat. While proponents of meat based diets for dogs would argue that they eat meat in the wild, it would be a mistake to compare pet food you buy in shops to prey they would catch themselves.Traditional dog food is often made up of meat deemed unfit for human consumption, and has been known to be made from dying and diseased farm animals that aren't considered fit to be food for us.There is an ever-growing range of plant based dog food on the market, and increasing evidence to suggest this is the best option for your canine companion. Also, It is very interesting that some Vets are buying into the idea that plant based diets for dogs is just a “myth” when plant based dogs have less visits to the vet and less health disorders.? I wonder if less profit for the veterinarians have anything to do with it.Something to think about…The exact same thing is happening with humans currently as well, society being mislead about nutrition so the medical industry can continue profiting off of their sicknesses. (For example: heart disease, cancer, and diabetes being some of the leading illnesses and killers in humans and the consumption of animal products being directly linked to those illnesses.)I am not saying that all Veterinarians or human doctors are intentionally misleading us, but they were taught and programmed by the same oppressive system that misleads all of us so it makes sense they would be brainwashed into thinking that nutritionally sound plant based diets being safe and healthy for Dogs is a “myth” but This couldn’t be further from the truth. We have to many people blindly following the “norm” of society and not enough people thinking critically. Her lack of professionalism, compassion and expertise was beyond unimpressive. What I should have done is send them a packet or book to educate themselves on Plant based Dog Nutrition. Or introduce them to one of the many Veterinarians who recommend a plant based diet for dogs over any other diet.In fact the second longest living dog in the world consumed a fully plant based diet.My Dog has been plant based for 5 years, she is now 15 years young with EXCELLENT blood work and In EXCELLENT health.I am not saying that all “anti- plant based vets” are ‘bad’ I believe a lot of them are just simply unaware and possibly feel triggered by the truth and information if it goes against their agenda and/or challenges their belief systems due to unawareness on the subject. You can’t argue with the science. You can’t argue with facts that Dogs absolutely can and will thrive on a well balanced Whole food plant based diet.It is time that all Veterinarians update their files and start looking at the truth. We haven’t been to this Vet office since and I will personally never go to this Vet office ever again, nor will I recommend this place to anyone unless of course they update their knowledge on plant based nutrition for Dogs and start treating their clients with genuine respect and professionalism. To anyone who actually read this far, Thank you. Bless you ?✨

I found a cat on the road that had been hit. The poor thing was still alive but not going to make it. Called York in a panic to see if I could bring it in because they were the closest. Told them it was not my cat and I found it and they still charged me $180.
