Employees are knowledgeable about equipment and troubleshooting solutions. I didn't take my ps4 in, but was given multiple options of things to try to fix it, didn't get the problem solved, but I believe id need to take it apart to get to the root of the problem, which I don't have the tools to do myself. I've had help with other electronics, like my PC and smart phone, all with positive outcomes
