We were excited about the windows but we had old house worries. The crew showed up ahead of time set up. Business as usual put our widows in no problem. Friendly,knowledgeable, professional. I would call on universal again.

Jim & Ken were SO easy to work with! I work from home, so getting 7 windows replaced (2 of which were in my home office) is not the easiest of tasks. I would highly recommend these two to any of my family and friends! Thank you again for a clean job!

John Rice was an amazing! I cant say enough about this man. He answered all our questions and was very educational on the different types of window options available to us. He was not only punctual, polite and patient but did not try to push something more on us. I have to say this is probably one of the best sales people I have incurred in this home improvement project. Thank you so much!! I look forward to working with UWD.

Victor H helped us with the decision process and made us feel like we were making the right choices. Since my initial review I have had a little more experience as time goes on waiting on the windows. One thing everyone needs to be aware of is you will start paying for your windows before work is started. This is something that they don’t tell you when you finance the windows. I’m extremely upset about this. I feel like I was taken advantage of. I will keep everyone updated on the outcome when everything is complete. It has been almost four weeks since the final measurements (July 22) and was told about 6 weeks for install. Spoke with someone a couple days ago and it will be another 4 weeks. Yet another disappointment. September 11 and still no windows or word on when things will start. Today is September 21. We had our windows installed finally on September 18th. I was not here for the install process but my husband was very satisfied with the work that was done. I came home to a finished product and was very happy that all was complete. The windows look great and I can’t wait to see how much we save on our energy bills. We started off on a bad foot but ended up with both feet planted firmly and happy. Thank you for your crews hard work.

Windows are Beautiful, and The installers where excellent on time and very professional. Special thank you to Steve the project installation manager who made sure I knew everything about my new windows. They cleaned up after they where done.

I'm putting a three here and this is for everybody, including the salesman and your corporate offices. When giving a sales presentation let the customer know what his money will buy not what his money won't buy. Keeping things in the positive, and let the buyer make his own decisions, it takes the pressure off of you. You screwed the pooch on the sales presentation. You brought in my boss, his boss, their boss. None of this was necessary. The window company that I did go to to buy windows did exactly What I suggested to you. And I'll be honest with you, and I don't like to admit it, I will pay more money for the service for the same windows Because they did it Right, the sales presentation. I have nothing else to go by, Until they install the windows with their own crews.

I had my windows install yesterday September 17. The crew was on time, surveyed the area, and got started with the job; they never really took a break and completed the job in record time! They cleaned up the site, vacuumed, etc. The crew leader went over unlocking and opening the windows; however, his explanation of opening the windows that tilt-in was a little too fast for me (I'm a senior). They did an excellent job! As a matter of fact, I want to order a foyer window and have the same crew come back to install the window!
Some suggestions I could offer any of your crew of installers--it would be to take more time before leaving the job and make the customer unlock and open windows and tilt (where applicable); in this way, the customer is more prone to remember by doing and not just by listening. Also, after the crew left, I looked at each window more closely and noticed on numerous windows some fingerprints and this back tar-ish stuff on the outside of numerous windows--where a customer could never reach and get to (especially seniors). I suggest that they clean the outside better and remove this stuff as they install each window. Customers pay a lot of money for new windows and don't want to see fingerprints and debris from packaging on their windows.
However, this is not a complaint--it is a suggestion/recommendation. I would recommend Universal Windows Direct to anyone; especially my family and friends!

After wasting 2 hours of my time with a consultation, running my credit, convincing me to set an install date when I wasn't quite ready, and taking a $100 deposit, I'm now told I'm unable to have the work done because they don't install "just storm doors".
I originally made an appointment for only a storm door quote. When the rep got here I ended up having them look at my back sliding door. I got a quote for both & wasn't quite ready to make a commitment. The rep was decently persistent and convinced me to sign up because I was told I could do JUST a storm door (what I originally only needed) and could freeze the price on the other door for 2 years and have it done down the road. OK, cool. So I did. Ran my credit and was approved for a loan. Took $100 deposit. Then a few hours later I received a text from the rep. Photo below.
Stating I have to spend another $3,300 to have both doors installed or they could install just the back door but not just my storm door.
Completely deceived and lied to.
The rep at the fair when I made an appointment also told me if I got a storm door they replaced the storm door and the main front door as a unit. That was also a lie.
The call center girl called me almost daily until the time of my appointment asking me to switch to it a day more convenient for their rep because they were already in my area. I explained to the same girl each time that I work and picked that time because it's the only time I wasn't working. Alas, she called again and again asking. I should have just canceled when she kept calling, because that was the first red flag and it would've saved myself 2 hours and a wasted credit check & loan.
Very disappointed in the representation of this company and absolutely will not use them for any future needs.
