Will never use Hertz again. Gave me an absolutely disgusting car covered with dents and scratches. I can't even begin to describe the smell inside of the car seats were stained. Had to clean it myself.

Rent here if you hate yourself.
Went to pick up my rental (passenger van), and waited 30 minutes for it to be ready because they had to clean it. This was despite the fact that my pickup was scheduled for 2 hours before I actually arrived - plenty of time to have had my vehicle ready.
When I went down to Bedford Heights to return the vehicle, I found that there was NO KEY DROP at this location. I put the keys in the van and left it for when the employees arrived in the morning.
In the morning I called to confirm that they were able to process my return, and they told me that they were locked out of the van that I had returned. They said that they had no key, and no way to remotely open the van. They said that it was my responsibility to figure out how to open the van and get the keys back, even though this was sitting in their parking lot.
So I went back down to Bedford Heights, and they basically told me that I needed to contact roadside assistance, and that there was nothing that they could do about opening the van. I waited on hold for nearly 3 hours with various representatives from Hertz:
1. The first person that I waited to speak to happened to be in billing, even though that was not where I directed my call.
2. Then they sent me to vehicle control, which was not the correct department to help with getting the vehicle unlocked.
3. Then it was roadside assistance.
The van was finally opened, after 4 hours of waiting, at which point, they charged me:
1. A late return fee.
2. A $250.00 cleaning fee because there was some sand in the van and they insisted that the entire van needed to be detailed.
I fought with them on the detailing aspect, telling them that I would show them how easily I could vacuum the sand, and they told me "well it will take more than 5 minutes, so we need to charge you for detailing". I recorded this interaction, since it was clear to me that they were willing to lie for a few extra bucks.
Planning to dispute the cleaning and late charges with my credit card once they clear.
Avoid this place. You have been warned.

Let me Just Say Amber is VERY rude and disrespectful! They gave me a dirty rental , banged up, ashes inside cigarette hole in seat! Then to top it off there was a bed bug in there I returned it within a hour thinking I would get something else sat for TWO more hours waiting cuz I WAS TOLD HE WOULD BE ABLE TO SWITCH IT OUT just for Amber to come in with a nasty attitude and tell the guy he couldn’t do it! The place is filthy… And this is only with the Uber side, the other two people there where Actually working!!!

Reserved and reserved being the key word a mazda or similar vehicle. Arrived to Hertz to pick up the rental, received a Jeep. Ok, no hig deal. Jeep was a 2021 and to my surprise the change oil light on, and the brakes grinding. Just overall poor service. I understand I am renting a vehicle but come on. Then I return the vehicle today, a few hours early. I tell the lady hey the brakes grinding and the change oil light on. Her reply which was piss poor was just because the light is on means its due for service, not its time to have it done. Excuse me? Not im sorry, nothing. That will be all, I will continue going to Hertz downtown.

Late model cars for standard price of a weekly rental! They demand that you do all the maintenance on the car, that seems illegal, shady at best! Cars are dented and worn out! They act like you work for them and demand 30 rides per week! The should be shamed of the companies policies and procedures! Second car that the Bluetooth completely went out on. Bluetooth is a safety feature for drivers not a luxury especially when your paying average market price!

Give them another chance worst this time ! They rented me a car that immediately needed an oil change and the tire light was on! The electrical system was going in and out I couldn’t tell where the gas gauge was and the car ran out of gas! They made me bring it back and charged me $65 a day for the car because of it! I have paid $1400 in two weeks for this car and they refused to replace the car! So I’m without a car again! Please do not rent from them you will regret it! I asked Isiah and Amber for the supervisor name and number they put me on hold and never came back to the phone ! I have called several times since and they will not answer my call! Very unprofessional they don’t even speak when you walk in the door!

DAWN the manager on Miles has an extremely nasty disposition. EVERY time I come there to rent a car she has a bad attitude. I couldn't get out of the car to sign because I didn't have my wheelchair and she said that I couldn't authorize my niece to sign for me and she looked happy that she was not able to assist me. All the other workers were trying their best to assist me but she shot down every solution. I understand that I was the last customer of the day, but the devilish grin she had when I told her "God Bless You" made it clear that she delighted in not being able to assist me.

The absolute worst place to rent from. They will allow you to reserve a rental. Once you’re almost there they will call you to tell you they’re sold out. If you’re renting with Uber they treat you like trash. I stood in line for all of 20 minutes before anybody at the desk said a word to me and I was the only customer In the store at the time. Then once I finally did get my rental it wasn’t what I reserved, I took it anyway and it was sold while it was in my possession so I had to return it. Maybe just me but terrible experience there.

Rented a car with Hertz thru Uber so I turned the car in and left cause they didn't have a restroom for the customers and I had to go. I got a call stating the car was supposed to be brought back with a full tank but my paper work clearly stated I only had 13% gas when I got the car. And I have proof the day I got it I had to fill up the tank well the woman that works there was irritate on the phone. I was asking her to allow me to speak and she just kept talking over me after I said they were trying to get extra money out of me. Apparently that really pissed her off but what else would you call that if not a computer error from transferring over from the Lakewood office. Sounds to me like scam. Instead of calming saying to be I understand that our records don't match with yours if you would like to provide me with your proof I'll look into it for you. Terrible!!!!
The woman gets a -30 for her very unprofessional demeanor. And I will be taking this higher then her head if it's on my bill which I have yet to get a receipt for.

Horrible experience from start to finish. Car smelled like weed. The required I pay $500 out of pocket since they didn't want to file with the insurer. They charge way too much for a little corolla. Takes forever to get a human being on the phone. When I do, they don't communicate. Instead of picking up the vehicle after I called and let them know to pick it up, got an automated message 2 days later saying it's overdue.
