Spoke to a banking manager a couple weeks go about a stop payment that was placed on a Social Security payment to my late father's account, trying to get the estate settled and the payment should not have been held. Haven't received a follow-up and called the branch a couple of times for them to say the manager was in but busy with other customers and would call back, have yet to receive a call back. Last call the person answering suggested I drive 40 min to the branch as they were busy with other customers which would be a waste of time and gas if only the banking manager would return a call.

I always tell people THINGS CAN ALWAYS BE WORSE. So... this morning could have ended with handcuffs if I were a younger version of JB.I have commas in my bank account, and an AVAILABLE balance that easily supports my request for a small withdrawal today. Not only did Fifth Third hold me captive for twenty minutes, but the branch manager got involved and refused to give me a fraction of my cash because I told her I was helping a teen buy a car. I HAD TO EXPLAIN TO HER THAT I WAS JUST TRYING TO BE NICE AND HELP A KID. Besides, "is it a new policy for tellers to question why people are pulling their own money out of their accounts?'"Lucy's reply: "I can only give you two hundred dollars."I had to cash app and ATM from the same account in order to bypass her opinion-based block-- withdrawing much more than two hundred bucks.***** Today, a 5/3rd customer relations representative called me after my social media posts and emails to the CEO. He explained that Lucy needed "coaching" because she could have called the Compton office to see that my Saturday deposit was cash and a check that should have been available on Monday. Soooo... if the first teller was on the phone with the Compton Branch that verified the cash and check deposits, why did Lucy scowl and send me on my way without a dime?
