Going to Petland was an incredible experience. Ever since I have been hit with familial problems, I needed a companion to keep me company. I was a little hesitant, but when I came to your store, it changed my views completely. The best part of my experience was getting help from Aubrielle. If great customer service was in the dictionary, her picture should be the definition. She was very knowledgeable about the pets, and broke it down where I can understand it easy. She wasn’t like most sales people where they try to shove it down your throat. She was attentive to my needs and very patient. Overall, if you come to Petland, look for this woman because she gives nothing but her best and more.

Dalton was so generous with a bag of goodies to help fill our dog and cat basket for a charity auction. PetSmart on the other hand did not. The puppies are so sweet and well cared for. I love Petland!

The staff were more than helpful with everything I needed ! Petland is the only store where you can interact with the pets ! and the store is so clean ! You can tell they take great care of their animals !! I love it here !

The music is entirely too loud!! I really do not think the loud noise is soothing for the animals, whom I'm sure are already stressed out with being in tiny cages and people reaching for them all day.
In response to making a "shopping " experience more pleasant , makes no sense. It's actually an uncomfortable experience knowing the animals experience is ignored.

I got my baby cockatiel from here 1 year ago, when I brought him home he was not weened properly so I had to hand feed him. After I was told that he was eating straight pellets, so this put me and him under unnecessary stress as he was making the baby noises because he was hungry and would eat pellets and I as a first time bird owner had no idea what I was doing. He was also not in great condition when I got him, his wings were not clipped properly and his tail feathers were bent and broken .

the way this store lets children mistreat their birds - ESPECIALLY the parakeets- is absolutely disgusting. not one time have i seen an employee set boundaries for those handling the birds but i have seen employees just stand and watch kids squeeze, swat, and throw the birds back down into their containers. these birds would be limping and panting and no one cares. treat your animals better and find someone who actually will advocate for them

Me and my husband had been on the search for a new puppy for a little bit when we saw a corgi puppy that was almost identical to our older husky mix in color. We started talks of potentially getting him with Alex and she told us we had to wait for the vet screening. Awesome, I love that policy as it is what's best for puppy and new owner. We got a call a few days later that he was cleared by the vet and we could come get him if we wanted. We showed up at 6:45 PM and didn't leave until almost 30 minutes after closing, the process took so long. The whole time we spent cuddling him and watching him play, he seemed calm and cute and like he would be a good fit for our family. Almost $5000 dollars spent on a dog that turned into a complete terror the next day. He stresses the whole household with how he acts, including our other dog and this is even after extensive daily training. I swear the first two times we held and interacted with him at the store he was a completely different dog, at this point it almost seemed like he was drugged to stay cute and quiet and nice. Now finding out we got a puppy mill dog that we payed almost 4x the amount that other corgi owners typically pay. The whole process of getting him and then now dealing with his behavioral issues feels like the biggest scam. And before the store tries to say we should have reached out for help or with questions, why would I do that when your employees sit and brag about the commission they're making off you while you're sitting right there? We were clearly just a cash grab for Alex and at this point I refuse to believe that this company actually cares about finding the right home for their animals. If you're getting a puppy, contact a breeder directly, you'll spend about $1300 if you're taking to someone who actually knows what they're doing instead of almost $5k. I feel cheated and scammed.

The employee was very friendly. She had helped us locate a female guinea pig. They also have a wonderful selection of animals if you're interested in getting a pet.
