November 2023 by Tori Lee Ravenwood
Here’s the sad thing I’m gonna answer a couple of peoples question because I used to be the manager there in 2022 until November. That’s when I found out that they were giving the dogs too much safeguard. The dogs were pooping blood constantly we had a Yorky puppy die and the owner did nothing about it. Took it to the house and said she took it to the vet. She did not. The store was full of roaches in the kennel and outside the kennel. We had the mall come in and tell us that we needed to remedy the roach problem. The owner finally had the people that the mall wanted to come in and fix this to come in. not too long after I had left, I had clients that would come in every week and see me just come in and pet the puppies because I kept the front of the store, pristine and clean and it never smelled. I made sure that those kennels were clean. I made sure that the store was respectably clean when we opened. I always came in very early to make sure that everything was ready to go and set up for success for the girls and when they came in and when I left my former roommates took over the store and has taken my three star rating which I had it up to down to a 2.1 I have not had any complaints when I was there about the smell, the filth or anything like that I had people begging me to go back to the store and see if I could get my job back there because the puppies looked. He may see it under nourished and just sick. I have reached out to the owner on a number of vacation but to no avail , the manager and her daughter abruptly delete my emails to the owner every single time and I get snarky, rude disrespectful comments from them. I have two recordings of the managers daughter, stating and I quote that I stole from the owner that I was on TikTok, all the time that I treated the customers horribly that I brought in my air “service dog and yelled at the customers when they pet them I had signs up that asked not to pet him because he was in training and people were not listening. When people saw the signs they started listening and there was only one person that got in trouble because they went into the spot with my dog and started playing with him and getting him riled up so I asked them to leave the store and for Stephanie Evans and Carissa Evans the quote““ manager and assistant manager in training just know that I know you had not been giving those dogs bows. I know that Stephanie is on SSI and is working more than her a lot of time and putting her time on Carissa‘s time card and Lying to the state of Ohio about it that whole entire store. Nothing but teenagers is also full of nothing but liars and money hungry backstabbing individuals so I advise nobody to buy a dog from there because you might be very ill dog that is ending up bleeding throwing up blood it may have parva it may have distemper it may have heartworm it may have kennel cough and don’t take it to the vet that she has because it’s not a reparable vet like she says it is oh and she buys her dogs off of Petfinder has them shipped to her and then Jack’s the price up to over 4000 dollars to turn a profit, please buy from a breeder or adopt from the Humane Society. They do not microchip like they say they do. I’m not the type of person to everybody’s dirty laundry but I’m done playing nice when my name gets tracked through the mud and I find out the truth that I was lying to people because of an owner, and I had no clue. I don’t pride myself online I pride myself on being an honest individual. All of those that I sold the dog to I apologize for lying to you

I went in this puppy store today and sadly they had puppies that were four months old and older in these tiny little cage. They’ve been living in there for months. I’ve read several articles. It said they bought from puppy mills and I don’t know if that’s a fact or not, but they do buy from breeders. It’s terrible for puppies to have to live in cage like that for months until they find homes and I fear where they came from before they got them. And I worry what kind of shape the parents were in. Pet stores like this just need to be closed down. It made me sad today. And I would like to know what they do with these dogs if they don’t sell them. Months in those little kennels is just awful. I don’t care if they do take them out for a little while each day.

I went in yesterday they had a Frenchie that had coccidia/giardia still on the floor had horrible poop and was covered in poop. The cages are extremely to small for larger dogs they had multiple large dogs that was also covered in feces and could hardly move around. The place is all around nasty and does not take care of their animals at all. Not to mention I didn’t see one employee either! Very sad!!

I went into this store today. The windows of the cages were grossly smudged but the two employees there were sitting on their phones as if there was nothing to do. On top of the fact that you shouldn't sit around on the clock and not acknowledge customers at all, they were also neglecting to give those puppies the best care possible. I hope this business decides to put lives over money in the near future by no longer selling puppies. Customers, I know they're cute, but please adopt, don't shop.

I was a little apprehensive about purchasing a puppy from here given the reviews but we had a pleasant experience. We stumbled into the store one Friday and they were extremely busy. We played with this chihuahua puppy who was so sweet. I immediately fell in love but couldn’t afford her, even with financing, it wasn’t an option. My husband called on Tuesday, she was still there and they were willing to negotiate the price of her. We thoroughly read through all of her paperwork and the documents they gave us. We took her to our vet the next day. She did have cociddia and Giardia - which our vet said are extremely common, especially in puppy store dogs. They treated her and she was better within a week. The store refunded me for her treatment and testing with zero issues. I can’t speak on their practices of getting the dogs, or treatment behind closed doors, but while we were there, the girls were kind with us and helpful. And we’re happy with our puppy. Prices are a little steep - comparatively speaking. But we bonded with this puppy and it didn’t really matter to us personally.

This place is absolutely disgusting! Our puppy that we bought less than a month ago and may not make it. And the owner has not taken my calls and believes it is “not their fault” that the dog came home with not one but 2 parasites, both that have caused this puppy to be admitted into icu at the med vet. The puppy began having aunt the night they brought it home. Immediately my mother got the dog in the vet and began treatment. But with the dog having both parasites intensive treatment was needed! The dog now remains on oxygen at the hospital and may not make it! And again the owner simply does not care!I’ve called BBB, dept of agriculture, attorney general and more! There are several investigations being open on this store as we speak and even the dept of agriculture believes they may be falsifying documentation and buying puppies from auctions not breeders! Not only are they being investigated for how they handle these dogs but they will also be being investigated for how the do business and it doesn’t appear to be lawful and possibly fraudulent! Do not shop here! Do not purchase an animal from here! My family is not the only family who has received a very sick puppy that has been very sick or died! Buyer beware!!! These people do not care about animals only money

The puppies are kept in bare cages, the bigger breeds looked like they barely had room to turn around. The whole store smelled bad and to top it off, they were given large water bottles meant for rodents to try and drink from instead of bowls.

The people were nice I enjoyed the getting a new puppy. But I took my puppy to my vet almost a week later. The papers I signed said must be seen by a licensed veterinary which I did. Then it had a spot saying I get a free first visit with their vet. Well hour away versus 10 mins. Well puppy has kennel cough I called just to let them know they might want to check their puppies in the store that the one I got has kennel cough. Their response really upset me as an animal lover well did you go go our vet.

This place has teenagers running it. It should be run by people who actually gives a care about the puppies. And the place should be run with a actual adult and people who know what breed is what.Teenagers are real need to face that dressing proper to sell is key way to make the store money. And allowing friends go behind the counters and all over the place is not cool. The teenagers need to act like professionals. This isn’t a high school. This is a business. Also I should said I was 30, the girl let me in the play area without actually seeing my ID. When I told her real age (24).Again, THIS SHOULD BE RUN BY ADULTS NOT TEENAGERS THAT DRESS NOT PROFESSIONAL AND NOT ACTING PROFESSIONALLY

My time there was definitely the best experience I’ve had. All the workers were very friendly and very informative and all the puppies seemed to be very healthy. We got a golden retriever puppy named nala and she is the sweetest dog I have ever seen. Would definitely recommend to my friends

They need a door on this place. It stinks to high hell in the mall and it is coming from this store. It is all I can stand to walk past this place. Pet shops should not be inside enclosed malls for this reason. Prolly why the other place moved out and into their own building. Please do something about the smell. It is horrible!!!!

Just went in to look. I could hardly stand to be in the store because of how bad it smelled. Dogs were sleeping next to their own feces. The employee just stood in the back and stared through the glass blankly. This place fails meet the bare minimum standards.

Please, please, please do not adopt from here. This has been absolutely miserable and expensive financially and emotionally.I adopted a Golden Retriever puppy from this store at the end of July. She came with Giardia which is extremely contagious and hard to get rid of. I don’t know how places like this are allowed to be in business. They say they keep up with the wellness and health of their puppies but this is not the first Giardia review. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You cannot trust the vet they offer you to take for a free exam. They did not tell me my puppy had Giardia or that anything was wrong. This did not feel right (there was blood in her stool) and so I took a sample to another vet with no connection to the pet store. They diagnosed her with it very easily and we’re still working to treat her for Giardia after all this time. She is missing out on valuable experiences and teaching because she cannot be out in public.*Not to mention their responses on their store reviews are very generic, repetitive. They do not care at all. I have looked through several reviews and many responses are word for word for bad reviews.*Even if the health of the puppies was solid (which is honestly most important and their most egregious offense) the staff are incompetent, inattentive, and unprofessional. It always took a long time to be acknowledged by staff during visits. The manager is rarely there so good luck getting your money back from the “free” exam. And it took me a month to receive her AKC registration paperwork among many other issues. We shouldn’t be supporting pet stores anyway. No legitimate breeder would ever give their puppies to a place like this.***After viewing Management’s response 1OCT22:I could not have come within 72 hours. Your vet said she was healthy and did not diagnose her with anything even though something was clearly wrong. I even showed them a picture of her bloody stool. And by time I was able to get an appointment with another vet, 72 hours had already passed. Is it normal for a pet store or anyone to have their puppies seen by a *reptile* vet? I’m confused. Also, the email given is not listed on the website and puppy is misspelled- is that intentional?

I want to really take legal action with this place. Do not get your pups from here. The owner does not care about the dogs but just want to make money off you and lie about the price. I’m paying 3x the amount she told me it was going to be! God bless your heart for being such a crook.
