I have given this practice several chances over the years. we took our dogs to dr. burger when I was a kid, but my parents stopped using her because she was rude. Then, when I was 18, I got a rabbit. I went back to beavercreek animal hospital to get him neutered because the house rabbit society recommended them. Dr. burger did a great job with the surgery, there were some issues with pain control afterward, but everything went smoothly. 8 years later I came back because my rabbit had stopped grooming himself as well, and showed signs of having mites. I worked with Dr. burger for this, and when the mites came back, she made me feel like the worst pet parent in the world. she is not kind. so I switched to Dr. Calhoun. He is a good guy and assisted me when Baxter was having arthritic pain. Dr. Calhoun is a good vet stuck in a bad practice. I could never get my rabbits medicine in a timely manner, they had me order from vca online, and it just stopped being delivered. when I tried to work with the vet office about this, I found out that the vets don't cover each others patients like human doctors and other vets do, and no one would assist me in getting metacam for my bunny. a non narcotic pain med equivalent to mobic. this was an issue several times, and my rabbit would go days without meds. the staff at beavercreek animal hospital are not nice. I try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, because I was a receptionist for years at a human doctor's office, and it's not always a pleasant job. However, the toxicity from them was constant. this ultimately lead to me firing this practice. I was able to find a different hospital, and I didn't know going to the vet could be so helpful and pleasant. unfortunately certain procedures for rabbits have to be referred to beavercreek animal hospital. if/when my 10 year old rabbit needs work on his molars, I will be driving to Columbus, because the staff at beavercreek animal hospital informed me that they'd never provide care to "that rabbit" again. my stress and anxiety surrounding the health of my pet has significantly decreased since I left beavercreek animal hospital. they seem decent until you have to work with them regularly, or rely on them for anything. try evergreen instead.

Please don't take your animals here. I had an awful experience with the advice given to me by both vets currently at this practice. My husband and I adopted a kitten back in March, took her to this vet in May for a first appointment. When she was adopted, we were told by the rescue she needed the last of her three step vaccine. When I took my kitten to this vet, they told me she was fully vaccinated because they looked at her paperwork wrong. I was then told and not given an option to vaccinate my kitten for feline leukemia because I keep her indoors. My kitten also has a diagnosis of autoimmune stomatitis (basically gingivitis for cats) that was diagnosed by the vet at the rescue. This is a healthy kitten who is doing well with the autoimmune disease until I took her to this vet. My kitten is eating, playing and acting like a normal kitten. Both vets at Beavercreek Animal Hospital ignored what I had to say and insisted that my kitten needed emergency surgery to remove all of her teeth. I was also told her autoimmune disease would be cured by removing all of her teeth. If you know how autoimmune diseases work, whether in humans or animals, that's not how it works. They then sent me a quote for $1400 to $1600 for surgery and told me this kitten maybe wouldn't make it through surgery but I should do it anyways. I opted not to do the surgery using my better judgment. I then took her to Vetrinary Preventative Care down the road for a second opinion after this experience. My kitten has healthy roots to her teeth that Beavercreek Animal Hospital insisted she needed pulled. Beavercreek Animal Hospital wanted to pull my kitten's healthy rooted teeth and possibly wanted to risk her life with surgery when it's not necessary. FYI if they would have pulled her teeth from healthy roots it would have been a traumatic experience for her and she may have not made it through recovery. Please take your pets for a second opinion if the vets at Beavercreek Animal Hospital say they need surgery. The vet here also claimed to be a vet for over 20 years yet had little to no experience with cats. The next vet who came in, who supposedly had experiences with cats like mine, hardly looked at her and insisted she needed surgery. Both vets also ignored me when I said she wasn't sickly. This place takes advantage of those who want the best for their pets, but don't recommend the best for your pets. I will never recommend them to anyone after this. They only wanted my money.

I used to work at this vet for many years. I was lucky enough to start working there before Dr. Wolf retired. I absolutely loved going to work when he was there, and then he retired and after that the place went downhill. I feel very bad writing this review, only because before it became VCA animal Hospital it was the absolute best place. Thanks to Dr. Wolf! I do not nor will I ever again bring my Animals to VCA. And I feel like none of the the doctors, probably some of the employees do not care about the animals and only want to care for them to see how much money they can rack out of a client. I do not support VCA, and I highly recommend finding another veterinarian for your pets. (and please keep in mind I absolutely loved this vet when Dr. Wolf was still in charge! It is after he retired when the office went downhill… And I don’t think I am the only person that thinks that) After my recent experience there…had an emergency with a family members pet. I haven’t taken my pets there since I stopped working there, maybe 2 years ago.. my only thought on taking the dog there was because they were close and at the time I thought the doctors were respectful. (also to try to save a trip from MedVet) I called, talk to the receptionist told them I used to work there I knew the doctor that was working. Long story short after being on the phone they asked me several times if it was my dog and I said no, and then I finally just said sure because clearly they weren’t listening to what I was saying. So when we got there, got checked and took the dog back Dr. Burger came out and said he’s going to need surgery they might be able to put it back in (his penis got stuck out and it was very very swollen, keeping in mind he was in the back for not even a minute) and then while there was a client inside Dr. Burger called basically called me a liar and told me she was “doing me a favor” I guess by doing me a favor by working five minutes past close, is what that’s considered a favor. and in case everyone was wondering, they went to med vet and pretty quickly got the penis back in and sent home with antibiotics… Tell me that the doctors there didn’t just want to go home and end the day? THEY ARE LAZY!!! Also, VCA is pretty much responsible for being a part of my grandmothers dogs death. She called within the policy of the 24 hour medicine refill window, medicine still wasn’t ready… The dog needed the meds it had a heart condition. She called to see if it was ready and it wasn’t and they said they closed shortly and that it wasn’t going to be ready… Later that day of the dog passed away due to being without meds and the office also would not see the dog that day because they were “closing”. Once again, the vets there have very poor work ethic and in my opinion do not care about the animals. That has been my biggest issue with this place, most of the doctors are extremely lazy they do not take any emergency appointments. I am very disappointed in how this place has been ran in the past few years. There is no love or care for clients or pets…. If you guys do insist on going there, I recommend Dr. Molnar. She has always been great to me, and she has been my favorite vet since Dr. Wolf has left. But, with all that being said I do NOT recommend VCA ??♀️

They don't care for pregnant animals at all. A little odd for a veterinarian.

Refused services to a critically sick dog due to vaccination status. Board certified surgeon from medvet said vaccines should not have mattered in the scenario. Will never use these people again. Would not recommend. Never interacted with the vets but the staff I did interact with was terrible. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

We saw Dr. Burger regarding our suspected dying cat. Blood work (which was $500 and pricing not discussed with us) was sent out and I was told I would be contacted the next day with results, but most likely we were facing euthanasia. After waiting until late afternoon, I finally called and was told the doctor was off and other doctors won’t read results from animals they did not see. Now we are looking at going the whole weekend with our sweet girl uncomfortable. Also, Dr. Burger’s “bedside manner” is abrupt and so unsympathetic. She really made me feel like a bad pet owner.

My 61/2 year old Siberian Husky saw Dr. Smith today and she was so happy not only with Dr. Smith but all the technicians at Beavercreek Veterinarian Hospital. The atmosphere was so positive it’s hard to describe how happy my dog and I were today. Of course she stole a towel off a towel holder today because she was so comfortable with all the staff. What a great experience today we both had, thank you Dr. Smith and everyone at Beavercreek Animal Hospital.

I am struggling here, In the last Six months I’ve had two pets be diagnosed with cancerous tumors. Dr Smith is a fantastic Dr, however, when she calls us with info/ directions (I.e. she wants to see to patient when they come for suture removal) why does that not happen?

I just recently started taking 2 of my cats to be VCA Beavercreek Animal hospital. My overall experience so far has been fairly positive. And my communication in person or on the phone with Dr. Calhoun has been great! He has taken the time to answer my questions which I seemed to ask a lot of. :) My 1st visit with him, he even took the time to listen to some of my personal issues and knew I was upset with having yet another sick cat. I still have not been able to resolve the medical issues with my 2 cats, but we're still working on it. The only issue I had was one of the staff members apparently falsely accused me of claiming she was incompetent and didn't know how to read urine analysis's results- which never happened. That did not sit well with me, but I let it go. The other issue is that it's hard to get an exact price for services there.. they are still going through new software they claim. But overall, I like it there so far.

I brought my two guinea pigs in this morning and it was a great experience. Compared to a few other vets the prices were very reasonable and the vet was friendly and patient. Was also in and out within the hour. Thank you for giving me a new place to bring my piggies!

Highly do not recommend. The staff was very kind but each appointment I showed up to I had to call more than 10 times before anyone answered to let them know I was here. They also are not clear about what goes on during the visit. They charged me an extra $60 for something I didn’t even know what happening prior to speaking to me.

I’ve had no issues here. 6 years ago they saved my dog due to parvo. They was real nice. The vet himself said she didn’t look good and he wasn’t sure if he could save her but promise to do his best and that was enough because she is 6 1/2 years old now and living her best life. I will always be grateful for what they did and I will continue taking my dogs there.

The Dr. Berger was very rude. No personal skills and was demanding. Basically berated us over the phone. Pretty much called me a liar.
