Beware of your experience at this location on Chagrin Blvd. Car was dirty on the exterior, windows haven't been cleaned on the inside for quite some time. Worst of all, the interior reeked of bad air freshener. Smelled like someone emptied a bottle of cheap perfume in the car. 46,000+ miles on the car and it felt like it.

We have to give at least 1 star partly because the car rental and staff were great( they get 5 stars...as that was fine.)We are posting as to our experience at the end of our rental, so that others don't get scammed.We rented for 2 days. Unlimited mileage. We returned the car with an odd charge of $16.99. We asked why. We were told even with "unlimited mileage", you are charged extra if you go UNDER 75 miles. We went 50 miles.If we had the time, we would have driven around for 25 miles. It was very clear unlimited mileage should have been just that. But this was yet another " hidden charge."Budget takes the cake on this scam. We are warning all of you renting to ( unfortunately ) look at your rental agreement so that you don't get caught paying extra for this. We don't know if all rental car companies now have this in place. But we must say, we were disappointed.

Total disaster. Went to pick up my rental car at noon so we could leave for my vacation. I had a scheduled pickup at a certain location And when I got to budget, they told me they were totally out of cars and I would have to go somewhere else. It was a total inconvenience. I had to scramble to go to another location that was 25 miles away.

BEWARE of the BEACHWOOD location. The owner's son, Bray (or however you pronounce his name) is EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL!! He never took the time to explain the difference between using a debit card versus a credit card... so I ended up with an unwanted hit on my credit... and when I asked him questions so I can get a clear understanding, his answers were vague. Furthermore, he told BOLD FACE LIES to both his father (the owner) and another Budget Location about me and how I handled the situation (defamation). Did I mention, he had the conversations (about me) with them IN FRONT OF ME... I'M A CUSTOMER!!!!! UNREAL!!!! Keep in mind, I NEVER raised my voice, belittled, disrespected or cursed at him. I simply expressed how I didnt appreciate his unprofessionalism and his response was to refuse his father's (the owner) request and not service me. I litterally heard him tell his father "you can come up here and take care of her because Im not." I'm still in disbelief. Even after his father (the owner) told him to take care of me, he refused. Also, it took 30+ mins for me to realize he truly wasnt going to service me. He LITTERALLY walked around cleaning cars and taking care of other customers WITHOUT telling me anything. No acknowledgment whats so ever. He was treating the place like home versus a place of business with customers.I literally had to say "are you going to ignore me? What's the next step? Your father told you to take care of me." He then said "Yes he did, and I told you I wasnt going to service you." So I left in tears... litterally. He proved (in front of other customers) that his father (the owner) HAS ZERO power over his own establishment.Moving on, he transferred my information to another location, however, he removed the discounts that were promised which increased the bill by $200+ dollars. Luckily, his father (the owner) was nice enough to talk to the rep and straightened things out so I ended up getting the price I was promised with unlimited mileage. But that son of his is going to cost him to lose A LOT of business. I DO NOT recommend this place, at all. And I do mean NOT AT ALL!!PSI understand why so many people complain about the cars being dirty and smelly. While I set there being ignored, I watched him spend no more than 10 minutes tops cleaning out the cars. Smh

We have booked intermediate SUV car at this location and the service was very bad. The car was smelly and not all cleaned inside. They don’t care about the customers. I wouldn’t recommend anyone at this location. I would have given “0” star for their service.

I rented a car at the airport but somehow my reservation wound up at this location. I canceled when I found this out, but they still charged me a $50 late cancellation fee despite the reservation being at the wrong place due to their error. When I called them, the foreign call center employee apologized and said they would reverse the charge. That never happened. I disputed the charge with my credit card and they provided fraudulent information to the credit card company. Do not do business with these scammers.

Got a Jeep SUV for under $40. The website was user friendly and the check in staff extremely efficient. Even though the computer wasn't working well the staff when I returned the car persevered to the end in a friendly manner that it tolerable.

Day light robbery. Ordered the car a night before, only got notified at the next morning when I arrived at the branch at 8AM straight that there are no car available, at all. Was redirected to nearby airport, with 30min drive. Called the customer service online, and was redirected to another branch 10min away, but asked to charged almost double. I have to use the car and there’s a penalty of $50 even if I’m forcefully to change pick up location and contract. This is madness. Bye Budget. You are on my black list. If not they have a code with my company to discount the price. Will turn to Avis or Enterprise to try my luck the next time.

I have rented cars for decades on my credit/debit card from Budget. We needed a car in an emergency situation and we're no longer welcome to. Humiliated I had to ask someone to rent one for me for a few days. There was more than enough in my account to cover this purchase, I've rented on same card for over a decade and prefer to not carry debt. Very disappointed in Budget our history of rentals should be considered when you change policy.

I've rented 3 vehicles from this location this year of 2022. I will never do so again!Cars are presented in poor condition: unclean, smelly, and lacking the dollar requested for rental.Final straw for me was the painfully unprofessional afternoon staff. Lady at the counter was/ is unfit for whatever nonsense she's doing. Not a good demeanor for customer service at all.Never again Budget Beachwood. Wish there was a refund policy for trashy cars and horrible staff

I’m not satisfied at all with this location(beachwood) the guy who checked me in was very rude to me as well as fellow customers that came in after me. Asked us don’t we check the hours online? On sundays they are only open 9am-12pm , I got there at 1158am. No i didn’t know they closed this early but being chastised about it was very unprofessional. I’m sure this location has or will get more complaints on this man.

Would not recommend!! Desk representative was very rude disregarded my situation & me renting a vehicle told me that august is far away & is two weeks from now and that he’s busy helping customers I understand that but something as simple as saying can I put you on a brief hold would have been nice. ENTERPRISE are a lot nicer

From reservation to drop off, the process was fast, smooth, easy. No unnecessary waiting. The car was ready to go when I got there to pick it up, and the staff came outside as I pulled up to return the car. All I had to do was sign and drive, sign and leave.
