“This is a WONDERFUL place. I was looking for a new vet closer to home and honestly was having a hard time finding one. Everything was so expensive and the care was not great. I am now in the process of switching all my animals to this vet.

Dr. Jackson and staff are phenomenal. He is so patient, doesn’t rush you, and is so good with my animals. He’s also laid back which I appreciate. I feel like other vets made me feel bad like I wasn’t doing enough for my animals, but I never once felt that way. I cannot recommend enough. Prices are also reasonable. Everyone was great here, from walk in to leaving.

If you’re looking for a new vet, I cannot recommend them enough. This is seriously the place I was waiting to find.”

“Ok, I can't say enough good about Dr Faulkner and his staff. We weren't patients for very long. Our Baxter who was only 10 mos old had to b put down last night. The clinic was technically closed but Dr Faulkner and the staff stayed to do surgery. As soon as we came in the door they were all over us, loving on Baxter and and reassuring me. Unfortunately sometimes things like this happen and no matter the love or care received isn't enough. This was my Bax. He was only 10 mos old. He absolutely loved everyone at the Gentle Vet. They make you feel so welcomed and provide quality care for your pet. I will be forever grateful to them for the love and excellent care they showed my baby. When the time is right, I'm sure I'll b a mom again and the Gentle Vet is where I'll be coming. They are truly wonderful people. Thanks everyone for all you did.”

“I’ve been searching for a great vet for over a year. I’m so thankful to have found Pet Vet, because I love Dr. Lawless. We brought our French bulldog in at the suggestion of our usual vet, as they were too backed up to see him for an allergy issue, and I was so pleased with our experience that I’ve continued coming here for all primary care. My dog is very comfortable with her and I feel much more at ease during appointments because of the vet’s casual and welcoming, yet informative and professional demeanor.

It is “no frills” in the best way. Staff members have always been caring, prices are amazing, and their walk in appointment process is very organized. I actually prefer the walk in format, because my dog’s allergies/minor issues come up unexpectedly, so it’s extremely convenient to know I’ll be seen that day vs waiting days or weeks for an appointment at a traditional office.

Check in at the desk (you can leave your pet in the car during check in) and then expect to wait outside or in your car until it’s your turn. They are efficient and I’ve never waited more than 20-30 minutes to be seen, yet I don’t feel rushed during my appointments and the vet always provides knowledgeable answers to my questions.

“I cannot begin to say enough good things about Dr.Perry. You will not meet a better or more compassionate advocate for you and your pet. Dr.Perry was willing to try any and all options we had to relieve arthritis pain in my senior dog, Such as acupuncture, laser treatment and Injectable arthritis meds. She was also my advocate when trying to diagnose my senior dog with further health issues. I called the office just about daily and she was always willing to receive my messages and hear my concerns. She went above and beyond what a normal vet would, and words will never express how grateful I am for her help and support during a difficult time.”

“There’s no vet I would trust as much as Dr.Scott. He has taken care of my pets since I was a kid. He cares so much about every cat, dog, and any other kind of critter that is brought in. He has also always answered my questions thoroughly in language that I can understand to make informed decisions about my fur babies. He’s one of the few vets I’ve heard of that gives you options and feedback on courses of treatment and doesn’t prey on lack of medical/veterinary knowledge to make a buck. There have been occasions when I bring my pets in with symptoms and he gives me options but recommends watching and waiting. He’s a vet that won’t require tests, medications or procedures unnecessarily to pad the bill. I wish this ranking system was more than 5 stars, they are 10/10 and I will only ever take my pets here for vet care.

He listens, and knew everything about why we were there. I have been looking for an holistic vet for a long time that uses the same approach themselves . Additionally he simplified our process (we home-cook food for dogs, have used slightly cooked raw, etc.) he reduced the amount of junk supplements . he also made recommendations & gave info for processes & products that he doesn’t sell, in other wards he wasn’t trying to sell us more processes through dancing paws. I hope to never need cancer help, or major illnesses, though i now know who our first call will be to! I strongly recommend Dancing Paws & Dr Sivula!”

There is plenty of parking right near the entrance and a huge front lawn in case if your pup needs to jog off some anxiety before your appointment!”

“This is a wonderful, compassionate veterinary clinic that has provided great care to our pets for many years. It's not just the routine healthcare we appreciate, but it's the difficult issues where we've found comfort in knowing proper, loving care has been administered. Our dog, Jax, was been coming here for years for routine checkups and immunizations, but when it was discovered he had cancer in one of his dew claws, we were grateful that the cancer was skillfully removed with great care. Jax recovered fully. Then when Scout, one of our elderly cats, was so ill that he couldn't go on, the staff made him and us comfortable as we said goodbye to him. Their empathy and final care was so appreciated. And now, Steve, our Turkish Van of 13 years, has become ill and has been seen by both Dr. Ryan Gates and Dr. Eric Allie. I am so grateful to how kind, gentle and patient they were with him on both visits. Both vets were also patient with me, as I had so many questions for them, and they provided answers to everything. “I was pleasantly surprised at the attention and care that came from this facility. Kudos to their willingness to squeeze us in for an urgent issue with our dog. Their process of dropping off our pet to a later meeting to go over all that was found was superior to all my experiences since we are all so busy, this made it most convenient. Dr. Hicks explained everything in detail and answered all our questions very compassionately and completely. I'm switching from a vet 2 minutes away because I didn't just feel like a number here.”

“This vet left an impression on me. Over 20 years ago, there was a stray black lab living around Goodyear’s HQ in Akron. It was late fall and after months of trying to trap the dog to adopt it, I was given Dr. Slenn’s number as he worked with a group who tried to find homes for strays. Dr Slenn volunteered to find the dog and use a tranquilizer dart to capture him.

Unfortunately, the stray dog had a rare condition that made him allergic to the tranquilizer and he died. I know he felt terrible about it as I did, but it was not his fault. This vet loves animals and tries his best! If I still lived in the area and had dogs he would be the first vet I would call!!!”

“First of all, I am appalled by the one star reviews because I have been coming to Highland Vet following Dr. O'Connor from previous vet in Barberton. I travel fro Hartville to receive the best services. First of all, Covid and remodeling has left it a bit inconvenient, but sometimes there is a reason for long delays. I have had to put my animal down, and they took the time to care for my pet which probably caused a delay for another appointment. When I have to wait, I know that someone else's pet is getting the attention they need. They have treated at least 25 of my pets/rescues over the past 25 years. I have been to other vets in the past, but Highland Vet has treated all my pets with the best care, surgeries, and compassion at the end. Thank you all for your speedy prescriptions, knowledge, and the best care for my pets. They are so good with my Lucy who is going blind and has many issues.
