I left a poor review earlier but after reading the fine print and the agreement I can see that they are just following the policies.I couldnt find a way to remove the original complaint so hopefully BBB takes care of it after seeing this favorable review

Been a member 6 years. Been exceptional. That's almost $70,000 in savings from my old insurance plan. Not sure what is up with bad reviews, other than it seems like people don't understand how CHM works. From reading reviews, I am not sure how much of those folks not understanding is really on CHM. I believe the people do not take the time to read or talk with CHM to understand the ministry. They come with warped perspectives. Quoting the king james or calling CHM not Christian is interesting too as it relates to what is written in Matt 7. They've blessed my family, and our medical needs and opened our eyes to many things in the medical industry, medical care is an industry made to make money in many respects. I love reading the letters and praying over others in need of prayer. It's true Christianity and often times on the testimonies I feel the tangible power of the spirit of the LORD moving in this community. Revelations 19:10 stuff. Praise God! Bless them LORD, bless your people. Hallelujah, amen. May you grow in your faith in Christ Jesus as King of everything in and around you, and deepen in the infilling of Holy Spirit in your life, you in Him and Him in you. All Glory to the Father! Amen.

During my wife's miscarriage, nurses at CHM guided us through difficult medical decisions. Afterwards, CHM approved the full medical costs for reimbursement through the cost-sharing program. What more could we ask for? CHM had our back through this ordeal, and has earned our trust and long term membership.

We have been with CHM for over 10 years. The Lord has blessed us with good health. This past year I needed to see a specialist and had to have a procedure to rule out cancer and tumors in my bladder. This was the first time we used CMH. I called them to verify the procedures for submitting bills. They were so kind and helpful. Simple uploading of bills and a short firm to fill out. Within 8 weeks we received a check for the amount not covered by our insurance. Our steadfast faith in our Lord and the wonderful servants at CHM make this the most affordable and trustworthy reimbursement plan ever. Thank you!!!

I cannot say it strong enough. DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY. And please do not put yourself and your family through the pain of working with the least Christian company I know. Many times I have called and talked to an agent to verify a policy and many times I have then talked with another agent who said that the previous agent was wrong. Our family has lost many thousands of dollars due to "misunderstandings" about how their policies work. They will do everything in their power to pay you back as late and as little as they can. And if you do choose to cancel they will withhold all pending reimbursements, or force you to continue converage until they take the full 90 days to process the reimbursement. Please spare yourself the pain.

We are so grateful to be part of this community. Their customer service is incredible and they are very good to their word. We love that we are not paying towards some big corporation every month, but I have the opportunity to share in others needs as well. Their maternity programs specifically has been a huge blessing to us. I would highly highly recommend.

We have joined CHM in 2012, along with brothers keeper, never had to use it until 2023.. what a nightmare, seriously couldn’t recommend them, long drawn out forms and phone call, finally getting reimbursed for a small amount ( thus the 2 star) and all of the remaining bills I had were turned over to collections after 5 months of no response from CHM, also CHM joined something called AMPS, which is a company that connects with the hospital, trying to get them to lower the prices even further then self pay discount, and then proceeded to keep the money from whatever the hospital discounted, leaving you the members to still pay your full dues, the whole experience was frustrating, depressing and simply not Christ like, it doesn’t matter to me how nice they talk on the phone, what we wanted was action and not prolonged excuses, we have left this company, and regret ever signing up with them, also will mention, they are NEVER one day late in collecting your payment for monthly membership.. it was a nightmare I have no desire to ever experience again..

I highly recommend Christian Healthcare Ministries! I’ve known several people on the plan but no one that had ever actually had to file for medical bill reimbursement yet. Until now. My husband broke his femur which resulted in a surgery and hospital stay. I am so grateful to say that Christian Healthcare Ministers paid up! They sent me a check for all the bills incurred (less my personal responsibility amount, similar to a deductible with insurance). There is a wait for reimbursement but they tell you that upfront when you sign up. My wait was approximately three months. I set up a payment plan with each provider and paid them in full when I received the check. Submitting the bills was easy and the staff was helpful when I called with questions. Thank you CHM!

This was a great option when I signed up in 2015 after becoming a widow. It is no longer a Christian Ministry. It is now a full on insurance company. I have been receiving prolia injections for 3 years. They have always covered these. I pay in more monthly than what I have covered, but I felt good with that as I was helping others pay their expenses. However, in the last year they have raised my rate and inflicted a "deductible" they don't call it that, but it is what it is. So my deductible was paid for last year yet they still would not reimburse my prolia shot. The same procedure that they have covered 2 years prior. Why am I paying monthly for nothing to be covered? I think I will just take my chances until I am on Medicare at the end of the. I get the feeling I am no longer helping others with their medical bills but paying for someone's high salary instead. They constantly ask me to recommend them to friends. No way, I'm saying stay away.

CHM has been very cooperative and supportive even when claims are expensive and complicated to document.

My experience with the ministry has been less than ideal. I was hit head-on by a drunk driver 3/8/2022 and mostly killed. My wife called and let them know about the accident about a week after it happened. They said just don't worry about the bills and send them in when they come. We started receiving bills shortly after returning home from the hospital. We were threatened to be turned into collection, at a time when I could hardly walk again. I told them we can set up a payment plan. Dealing with the bills was very stressful. We contacted CHM and were told that coverage was denied. We were dumbfounded. We went back and forth with them and they finally agreed to cover us. We didn't qualify for financial aid because we had CHM, and then we found out that we really weren't covered. Talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place. (The reason being it had been too long since the accident by the time all the bills were in and we got them to them.) We had to fight and fight for them to agree to cover us. They denied several bills that should have been covered. Instead of them trying to see what they could cover it was a constant battle of being denied. I always assume the best in everyone but I can't in good conscience recommend them anymore. It's a train wreck to try and figure out what you owe. I paid some bills and then find out that they got a reduction and paid me less than I paid. We are working through getting that reimbursed. The whole process has been very frustrating and challenging. I have consistently been told that they are waiting on something from me. Recently I contacted them because I haven't heard anything in over a month and they told me, actually we sent you a hippa form we need you to fill out to continue to process your claim. No email in my email. No letter received. Sorry guys it really isn't this hard to communicate and get things accomplished. Maybe they need to streamline their process. And, I forgot to mention, if you go six months without additional bills, if you have additional bills you get to pay a whole additional deductible all over again. Maybe that works for regular illnesses but it's a real bummer if you are dealing with an accident like me.

Should be called capitalist health care ministries. Nothing Christian about it. Won't cover child birth unless you have already have their gold membership for l at least 60 days prior. Even if you agree to sign a contract for the next 10 years or whatever. Nope, maybe on your next child. W?! Why would I ever give you a penny when you were unwilling to begin this journey with us?! Bye Felicia ?Blue cross it is ?♂️ I'll say a prayer ? for you all, a little prayer.
