“I was visiting from out of town when my diabetic Miniature Schnauzer got sick. I took him to Avon Animal & Bird Hospital who were gentle and caring with our little Cody and myself. I recently moved back to Elyria and intend on taking our Jake there.”
“I can't speak to the grooming here and it looks like some people have had some bad experiences there and that is accounting for the low stars, but to me, strictly speaking to the store, it is one of the best Petcos in the Cleveland area. It is larger than many others in the Cleveland area, and thus has more dog supplies than other ones. I have found the staff to be friendly and helpful -- when I came during COVID and found there was a shortage in the puppy food that I use for my dog, they were able to provide some valuable information about a production shortage with the brand that I use, and helped me look to confirm that they were out of stock (as their website said they had some in stock). Even though there were a lot of people in line they were able to check people out quickly. And they have glass shields up so you feel safe at checkout during this pandemic. The one downside of this location is that even though it's right by all the main shopping in Avon, it's almost behind the other stores where it's a little tucked out of the way. But when I do remember that it is back there, I try to stop by and grab a treat or a new toy for my puppy.”
“A very warm and kind environment. This was the first time I have ever been to this vet. I had an emergency for my dog everyone else turned me away but, Avon animal hospital managed to get me in within 2 hours. All of the staff was extremely friendly and kind. Dr. Poling was very empathetic and explained everything in details for me. In all my years of owning pets and making visits to veterinarians the Avon animal hospital is one of the best experiences I've encountered. Also, very affordable.”
