Sad to see the field has no sunflowers this year. I recall them stating they would be relocating to Sandusky, OH. I pray for the new location. They will be missed in Avon.

Came from Lake County and realized there were no sunflower. Checked website and Facebook before making the drive and didn't find this information. Hope to visit again but hopefully no one else makes the same mistake.

Maria sunflower garden is a heart felt place to visit. This foundation raise money for cancer. This is a great place to look and walk through the sunflowers and leave a note or prayer for someone you have lost or in fear of losing to cancer.

This sunflower field is beautiful during flower blooming season. I can't believe I visited way back in September 2020 during COVID-19. I got lucky when I arrived in late September because many of the flowers had already begun to fade or wilt. I was really bored one day from just sitting at home so I decided to go for a walk outside while enjoying the sunshine. I came to this sunflower field in Rocky River, Ohio to enjoy some fresh air. This same sunflower field is also in Sandusky, Ohio. Both fields are run by the Non-Profit organization called "Prayers From Maria", named after a 7-year old girl who died from cancer. Every section of the field has a small card with a child or teenager's name and picture on it along with a sweet message from themselves or their family. It is really touching to read but also sad because these individuals died from brain cancer. Everyone visiting the field feels a sense of hope as they walk along the sunflowers and I hope you do too when you visit. I certainly felt at peace. The sunflowers only bloom from August to September every year (3-4 weeks total) so make it part of your trip to Cleveland this or next summer. The sunflower field is free to visit but donations are welcome. **** - 29/100 total reviews in 2021 - 449 total overall Yelp reviews - Over 5,500 total Yelp business photos - Reviewed on 9 May 2021

Such a noble concept! The first few steps into the farm....my heart was aching. All those little kids. May their soul rest in peace. Then I realized that their souls are resting in peace. I could feel them. It was like walking in heaven! Here you can see the memory of kids placed in the field who lost their lives to cancer and you can write and tie your own note to the plants in the first section of the farm.I am saying a prayer for all the people out there who are fighting cancer and I really wish this cancer disease will vanish from earth for good. There are a lot of sections on this field with slightly different varieties of sunflowers. You'll feel like a seeing a thousand suns! It's a good place to visit with your family as well! Field is maintained well and it's safe too.If you get a chance, you should visit this farm and contribute something to the cause. This farm is located right near the i90 at Avon just 20mi west of Cleveland. There's enough parking space as well. There were 100s of people there when we visited yesterday, but you can keep enough safe distance with other people.

Must see if in Northeast Ohio! Make sure you go earlier than Fall (when these pictures we're taken). You want to catch them at full bloom. There are still a few beautiful ones around in the fall but amazing concept and gorgeous sight to take in. What a great purpose. Pro Tip: go near sunset for an amazing photo op or selfie.

A great experience for a worth while cause. Be sure to donate at PrayersforMaria.org and read the full story there. Plenty of parking. Plenty of sunflowers. A great time for kiddos to have a jaunt thru the sunflowers. Be sure to wear long pants to prevent the prickers from getting you if you want to go of the beaten path.

It was too good. The only thing is you will become sad once you look at the young people who died so early. Sunflowers are awesome. It also has a small gift show and a food truck. You should purchase something from there as it will go to the donation for cancer patients.
