Don’t buy fish here. I have a 1 inch long gold fish alone in a 5 gallon tank. The tank has heat, a filter, an air bubbler, lights, real plants, and nutritional substrate. When I went there to get more plants and 2 minnow fish for my tank I was told by the man working in the fish department that I’m killing my fish for having real plants and that he’s denying me of purchasing from them for the day because I’m sending any fish I buy/ own straight to their death. I always keep my water clean and chemical levels in check. I have test kits for pH, ammonia, nitrate, and nitrite and they all stay in normal levels. Instead of denying purchases from loyal customers you should suggest other helpful options. I’ll be taking all my future business to a better place that will allow me to purchase items that I need.

I agree with the June review Petco in Avon has some of the worse customer service ! Per the site dogs under 16 weeks do not require the rabies vaccination in order to be groomed . My husband brought our 13 week old pup in and was refused service and the appointment was canceled . Once speaking with a manager to confirm what the site said she then told us we were 15 mins past our appointment and could not continue . Both groomer and manager had horrible attitudes and refused to assist with rescheduling there because someone quit the day before and would not help finding a different location . Stay far away from this location !

Petco in Avon has HORRIBLE customer service and I would think twice before booking a grooming apt with them!
For a 12 o’clock apt, I received a text from the groomer at 11:12 asking to reschedule. I immediately responded that unfortunately does not work. Their next message was at 11:38 still trying to reschedule and at that time I told her I was already on the way, which I was. Once we arrived they mentioned her rabies tags weren’t sufficient and I needed her paper which I had to get in my email. I was having trouble getting anything to load on my email at all. Numerous customers and employees mentioned how bad the service was there and how stuff never loads. I was anxiously trying to get the paper to load, standing in the doorway and in different spots hoping for service. I finally got it to load at 1220 and waited for someone to come back to the desk. Two girls were clearly grooming other dogs and one other employee was talking to them, so I waited patiently. One of the groomers made eye contact with me and mouthed “did you find it and I said yes and she shook her head okay. The girl at the desk comes back to tell me “I spoke to the manager and since it’s 1225 now, we can’t take her”. I shockingly told her I didn’t think it was either appropriate for them to try to cancel 20 minutes before and she responded oh…. That’s weird, ya we can’t take her it’s been 25 minutes since her apt time.
So I wasted an hour and half out of my day and a drive all the way there for them to just say ya sorry, too late. HORRIBLE!!!

Paula D , went above for my scared pup. She coaxed her in not pulling her. She was sweet to Bella Rose with her toe nails being cut and buffed. It was Bella’s first time there and she and I will be back! Thank you Paula D

Much love and gratitude to Gabby who groomed my Riley today. He’s approaching 13YO and she informed me of his struggles in standing for grooming purposes. He was not aggressive in any way, Gabby was looking out for his overall well-being and recommended a groomer who could provide harness support, as Petco cannot. I am extremely grateful for the honesty and Gabby’s morals and ethics.

This was our first time going here for my dog’s vaccine, he was getting his examination and they immediately held him in a tight chokehold and touched his belly without any hesitation. He screeched and the vets had the AUDACITY to tell us to train him to be patient. Maybe if you let him warm up to you, he wouldn’t have screeched? The lady seemed pissed off when telling us what to do, extremely unprofessional. We went to different places for his vaccine and he’s never been this scared before. Instead of rushing, why don’t you do your job and treat animals more gently. Are they even certified veterinarians? Who let them treat dogs? Dogs are no different than humans, would you be happy if a random person grabbed your arm? First and last time coming here.

Our pup was muddy because our yard turns into a swamp in the spring and the pup loves to dig and run through the mud. She gets it on her white paws and white chest, which makes her smelly and dingy looking. We also are not good at clipping her nails because she is squirmy and doesn’t like it at all. The groomers at Avon Petco were amazing. She looked beautiful with a good bath and brush out. Her nails were our biggest concern so we will be taking her back to have them done at Petco.
