I'm out of state and wanting to cancel due to the DEI policy and having had the experience myself at a PF in Wyoming.I shouldn't have to send mail, but I will.Because that policy needs changed.I will not patronize a gym that allows a man to be showering next to me.Signed, a real woman.

It's a busy gym, but that's to be expected in a college town. It also happens to be a smaller location, again, that can't be helped. Just be aware of those two things.The one star is for the few staff members we have delt with. They've been very short and rude to us so far. Often times they have friends behind the desk with them making us wait until their conversations are done to get help with the spa reservations. Pretty disappointing.Month later edit: Why are the workers so rude when attempting to buy anything? Just get some vending machines so we don't have to deal with staff interviewing us.

Staff is friendly, good location, clean and up to date equipment. College town so busy at times, but I love my workouts!

I’ve been to planet fitness in many states. This particular location has the warmest and most generous employees. The culture that is built at this Athens PF is unmatched.Every employee has left and imprint. There is one woman who I’m certain is a manager, Carissa, she is exceptional. She says my name every time I come in and smiles. She remembers all my black card preferences. She’s one of kind and certainly one of the best customer service agents I’ve ever interacted with.

Planet fitess, overall, is hypocritical as they claim and boast "no intimidation". Meanwhile, the people who take fitness seriously are the ones being targeted and intimidated with lunk alarms and petty rules. The word "lunk" alone is an example of judgment and "gymtimidation". There's no need for that behavior

Mediocre gym at best. Additionally, this location makes you cancel memberships in-person on via snail-mail (a lot of locations let you cancel via phone). Super inconvenient when Athens is a smaller college town and most people move away from town. Waste of money.

Love so much about PF - the concept, the variety of equipment, affordability, mix of people, but geez, they don't fix or replace equipment on any time line other than theirs, which seems to be "someday". The bathrooms are not cleaned frequently enough, the spray bottles are dirty, the paper towels are frequently out. They don't monitor at all and there are people who tie up equipment because they are on their phones texting, watching, taking selfies. And when I said something to someone who works there about the broken equipment and the annual surcharge (watch out for that!), she said, "there are other gyms you can go to". Seriously? Managers need to start managing.

It’s a planet fitness it’s a beginner gym only reason I give it 4 instead of 5 is there’s one toilet. If your anything like me as soon as I take preworkout or coffee at 6am I have to grease the toilet within 5 min.

Really great gym. Only reason i give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that frequently the spray bottles are empty as well as the paper towel holders. Other than that it's a great atmosphere and never too crowded even during the school year.

I like planet fitness but their limited weekend hours make it really hard to get a good workout in around work hours. I feel like if you’re going to have limited hours on certain days do like Sunday and Monday not Friday Saturday Sunday.

Place is nice to go tan and work out etc, but it’s funny depending on who’s working they all have their own diff rules. Could have swore being so close to campus it’s more for like college kids to work at then you get some Willy Nilly old bearded man that’s clearly going thru midlife crisis and is rude as heck along w a dark haired mid 30 early 40s woman w glasses and just gives you dirty looks and shakes her head and mmm hm mmmm hm to everything the rude man said. Won’t make the mistake of coming during the day, and then even at night there’s a long dark haired girl that just stands at the desk on her phone and acts like you don’t exsist when you need help. There’s one guy that’s the nicest coolest young kid but only there at night.
