I have had my prescriptions at Athens Kroger for many years! Never had a problem but yesterday was the worst. I called from Logan to see if my prescription was ready so I could pick it up. First they didn’t have it, then they did and he said he would work on it right then. Randy was his name! So when in Athens I called again to see if it was ready and get a price! They was working on it. Keep in mind I also called two days ahead and they had to back order. Anyway said it would be $105. Ok I guess I have to pay cause I really need it. I go in to krogers and it was still not ready! Pharmacist Randy said I’m trying to get the price down for you! Appreciated Randy but I was going to pay the 105 so I could get it and use it. I blew up, not my best day by far but Randy was doing his best. I guess it’s ok for them to have you running round in circles and you should be ok with it! Well I wasn’t and when I fronted them I made a decision to transfer my prescriptions elsewhere. I should not have acted like that, Randy didn’t accept my apology but that’s ok, I have always been patient and understanding and they don’t have to answer for not doing there job! Don’t mean you don’t take peoples crap! But why do I have to take you giving me the runaround while waiting for my diabetes medicine when I told you I needed it! Thanks Randy!

Grocery go-to. I love kroger deals and couponing. I see the savings at the end of my trip and feel a rush. A comfortable and pleasurable place to shop. Love to see the fun clearance cheeses and also take a look at the clearance bake section. Reasonable prices, can find pretty much anything you need. Plus they have starburst c4.

If I could give a negative review for Athens Kroger- I would. Multiple times my family’s prescriptions have been called in and we have been given a specific time to pick up and when we get there - we have been told it’s not ready or they don’t have it in stock. We have to make special trips in town to pick up our medications and almost every time have either had to come back a different day to pick it up or wait 2 hours until it was ready. What’s even worse is the customer service is DISGUSTING. Miss Alexandra working the drive through window has a huge chip on her shoulder and doesn’t seem to know how to do her job. She tried to charge me $73 for a $20 script and acted like I was the one who didn’t know what I was talking about. I can understand short staffing and long wait times but I can NOT understand poor attitudes toward customers. I’ve worked at Kroger pharmacy before and would never speak to customers the way my family and I get spoken to at this pharmacy.

The slowest pharmacy. Absolutely everytime you pick up a prescription you are waiting in line 45mins-1hr. Also, if you have multiple prescriptions don't expect them to be filled together. You will most definitely have to pick them up on separate days.

Constantly rude and unkind on the phone. Impatient. I'm not sure why Evan hates his job and people so much, but it is pretty obvious he does. I'm not sure why his manager and Kroger tolerates this attitude. Just trying to get help and information for little kids meds. Not a one time occurrence. Kroger needs to own this situation.

They usually do a pretty good job. I was very disappointed in the service I received today. I may go to CVS for future prescriptions.

The woman on the phone told me I would need to call in and tell them I wanted to pick up my medicine. Thought this was a little odd but I did it anyway, called on Monday to inform them I did want my medicine to be filled this month and she then told me I would need to call back on Tuesday. I then called again Tuesday and a man answered this time, I told him I would like my medicine to be filled and I was instructed to call. He acted very put off, as if I was baggering them, I informed him I was told to call by the woman yesterday. Anyways very confusing and very poor costomer service. I don't recommend this pharmacy to anyone

Talked to them at 2:00 today and was told I could pick up my prescription after 4:00pm. Went at 6:30 and was told they didn’t have the meds and to come back tomorrow. No call to tell me it wasn’t available. What a waste of time. Transferring my prescriptions to Shrivers.

Wish I could give it zero. They are refusing to give me my medication- which I've been on for years all because they think I have to have a driver's license. There is no law in Ohio that says you have to show an ID, much less a specific ID. I gave them a photo ID, but they still refused to give me the meds. These aren't meds I take for fun. It's necessary for me to be able to sleep. They are engaging in a power struggle with me because one of the techs has a burr up her a*** and the pharmacist is helping her keep it there. I've misplaced my drivers license. It will turn up eventually, but I need my medication now. So they get a zero rating. They supposedly strive to make the prescription experience easy. What a joke.

I have been to the Kroger in Nelsonville for my covid vaccine and the pharmacist there was amazing. I didn't even realize she had given me the shot. She was thorough in her directions and answered all my questions. I usually go to Athens and was there for a prescription refill because that's where I live but they had no openings. Athens is always very nice and very thoughtful. I have never had any problems.

Every other pharmacy allows you to refill three days early this Kroger not only do they wait till the last day but they don’t care about your well-being and the rude
