They we’re having a 50% off after Christmas sale and they wouldn’t give me 50% off on a seasonal candle. Too much hair splitting. They did give me 20% off though. Probably won’t go back. The sales girls were kinda mean too but that’s par for the course in Athens now.

I visited this store today and noticed a variety of dream catchers available for purchase. I read the sign displayed with them about the various charitable causes that a percentage of their sale benefits. None of these where causes that aid indigenous communities and there is no statement that they are made by native artisans. I then asked the sales representative if any portion of their sale went to native artisans and was told “nope”. I then stated that in that case the items should not be sold and the sales representative said “you’re right“. This is particularly gross considering that the outside of the store is proudly displaying a painted memorial to Brianna Taylor. Although the two might not appear to be directly connected, it does represent a discrepancy in ethical conscience. I would like to ask the owners to please reconsider selling these items. Further I would encourage the owners after they have removed the dream catchers from their stock to make a generous donation to a cause that supports the local indigenous community. Put your money where your lip service window mural is.

Overall a cute store but not smart with COVID as you can see with their sign on the door. As a customer, I will not come back until employees are required to wear masks. Unmasked employee made no effort to distance herself from me during my shopping. Made me uncomfortable and had to leave earlier than desired. Stars will change if efforts are made ❤️
