Imagine a sweet, old Victorian house nestled in a quiet neighborhood, in a small town with a big University. That house with all it’s colorful charm, radiates magic. When you walk into this world, you stop and hold your breath for a moment..the beads…THE BEADS! Floor to ceiling are displays, baskets, jars and free strung beads of every kind, size, color, and material. Guatemalan handbags, backpacks, and medicine bags hang from hooks above woven baskets full of beautiful stones, shells, and fossils. There is something incredibly interesting in every nook and cranny…and the beads; Seed beads, delicate handmade lamp work, bone, wood, metal, shell, clay, semiprecious stones just to name a few.
Joey and Phil, the shop owners, are very cool, down to earth people. They’ve traveled all over the world for years collecting these beautiful materials together. If you need assistance, they will show you around, and help you find the right kind of beads for your jewelry projects and budget.
I love, love this place! Their selection gets better every time I go there. If you bead create, you will love this place and return time and time again as I do. Definitely Groovy :]

Such a cute little shop! The owners were so sweet and helpful. The prices on the beads were great and the selection was large. They had lots of crystals, charms, strings/chords, chains, pendants, and more. Perfect for jewelry/craft makers or someone needing a fun thing to do in Athens. I was on crutches when I visited and they let me know that if I had called, they would have told me how to park in their employee back lot so I wouldn’t have had to walk as far. So kind!

Our children like this store very much. They have a variety of beads and stones. At the same time, the shopkeepers, the grandpa and grandma, are very friendly. We will definitely come again and recommend it to friends who like unique jewelry.

Incredible selection of gorgeous beads in any material you may be interested in. Lots of beautiful precious stones and crystals too! And the customer service can't be beat. This place is so calm, friendly, and fun to be in. I love it so much!!!

Lived next to them and the lady who owns it sat outside screaming "really"over some cigarette butts in the back of my house. My indoor kitchen camera caught it and I also took a video of the situation. I told her my baby was napping if she didn't mind leaving or being quieter. Mind you I just finished battling postpartum depression and I'm a human trafficking survivor so bear with me while I try to survive. I handled the situation so much better than I have previously and I hope maybe this review will help them learn how to be peaceful people. Understanding etc. The husband is really nice though. I've had great interactions with him.She was also in my garden bed trespassing almost to prove a point or make a scene. I hope I don't get bitter in my old age.

This place is an escape from the world, but at the same time, immerses you in it. The owners have travelled around the world to bring art, beads, jewelry, crystals, etc. to Athens. They are very friendly, personable, and helpful. Their prices are unbeatable too. You can make jewelry there or take it home with you, they will teach you everything you need to know. My mom lives a bit out of town and this is her escape from the chaos of life. Her and I love this hidden gem- it’s welcoming and we always feel present in the moment, at peace. Therapeutic escape ☺️
