Very unprofessional and very unfriendly, they tell people they don’t respect them but they absolutely don’t have any respect for their patients. They gave my dog medication that wasn’t even supposed to be given which made things worse. They also did not return ANY of our phone calls. Very very careless!!

Wont help you if you have a problem after their care then when you confront them about their negligence they ban you from their place of business with no explanation. please find another vet if you truly care for your animals. And to the owner who I know will read this at some point you should take heed to all these reviews you have been getting recently cause it's not looking good. I’ve been going to Pleasants for over 35 years, and have had Excellent care for my pets throughout. They truly care, and are so friendly and knowledgeable. I only go elsewhere if it’s an after hours emergency. (Then it’s MedVet in Akron)

Our dog got into some medicine. They told us it was an emergency and to come in right away. When we got there they drug him to the basement where we were not allowed to be with him, and they were on their lunch break and didn’t give him activated charcoal until an hour and a half later. Afterwards they had us in the waiting room for 5 hours not letting us know what we should do. At the end, they charged us a huge fee, told us to take him to the emergency vet and they were rude and demeaning to us. If you care about your animal do not bring them here.

pleasant’s animal hospital has always been extremely wonderful to me and my pets. I am always very thankful for the care and compassion that is always provided. I cannot thank them enough for how great they are!!! I would highly recommend this vet clinic to my family and friends. Thank you all for everything you do everyday!! You guys are the best!! Even in our time of need, you guys have saved us and our cat!! Thank you!!

DO NOT TAKE ANY ANIMAL HERE.
This place does not care to run a business honestly or care about your animals. Someone shared their awful experience they had. People who work here then privately messaged people who commented/shared the bad review. On top of that they looked up any records and reached out to current and old clients that liked or shared said bad review and told them they would no longer accept them. They then made a post publicly on fb and keep deleting any comment that doesn’t fit their narrative and then block you. See my photos as my comments were not rude but were deleted and now I’m blocked. They do not care how they treat people or animals and want to try and hide a bad review. Very shady

We brought our cat in on August 15th as she was limping. The staff and vet were kind and caring. I would not recommend this vet for what happened afterwards. My cat was prescribed anti inflammatory medication. It was not working after the 10 day dose, so I called on August 26th to have her X-ray sent out to radiology, which they said they could do, if she didn't improve. I didn't hear anything till that Friday so I called. It took three days for them to even send the X-ray and that Friday they told me to call the following Tuesday to see if the results came in yet. All the while my cat is suffering. I called Tuesday, they told me the doctor was not in, call first thing Wednesday. I called Wednesday and I nice lady told me to wait on the phone the doctor was on a call but had my results. Then a few minutes later was told that she had them and would call me. She never did. So I called at the end of the day, that day. I was told they were busy with surgeries, she could not call me, call on Friday. I was super frustrated at this point, but was still patient and kind to all the staff. My husband, went up at the end of the day to talk to them and finally we got some answers. But the experience was very frustrating. The next day we called to get some pain meds. In the meantime I saw a FB post about how they cared for a dog the same timeframe I was having trouble with them. I commented that we were also having trouble, probably switching vets, and I felt that they were incompetent in our experience. Five minutes later we received a call that they would be terminating service, which was fine. But I also received a email saying I didn't value them and was disrespectful. I was never beligerant, rude or disrespectful. I have never been treated so poorly by a service industry in my life. I again believe they have genuinely nice, caring staff but someone needs some training on how to treat customers. They were so busy but had time to monitor a post all day and send numerous emails and phone calls out to whomever commented negatively on the FB post and terminate service with those clients. I've highlighted one experience of mine with them, I have had numerous bad experiences but each time gave them a second and third chance.

Worst experience ever. If you care about your animal DO NOT take them here. Told us our dog was having an emergency. Kept him for 5 hours. Did no treatment and told us to go to the emergency room. But yet charged $500 very rude staff. Neglected us and our dog. Disgusting.

In response to your reply of my review, I want to add that this is very false. I was never given a quote, no one ever told me that he needs to urgently go to the emergency room until five hours later as I awaited speak to someone. You are not legally allowed to be posting medical records no matter how inaccurate and false they are Publicly. When I took Winston to Metro in Highland Heights, they told me his lab values were Fine and they sent me home with G.I. protection medication’s and explained to me how vital it is to give them right away..which was very nice Considering no one gave me any medication’s to take home from your vet Office. I was never informed that it was surgery Day or that you were short staffed until Winston was already in the basement and that I would never be able to speak to the actual veterinarian or I would have never came but I was Falsely assured by this establishment that you Were capable of handling treatment for Winston, which obviously was another lie that has been told by you. I truly don’t think Winston was seen by a licensed veterinarian at Pleasants animal hospital. I am also skeptical that he may not have even received the treatments that I got billed for because he was locked Away in a basement for hours.
By the way, I’m still awaiting a call from a licensed veterinarian there to explain to me Winston’s test results as they never were explained in office. I will be filing a police report due to public falsification of records and the neglect that fell upon my dog this day. Also, if you are truly sorry Then why didn’t you apologize in the first place? As opposed to messaging, calling, and spamming people that commented on my post? You also need to get your “records” straight because your post on FB states he was bright eyed and acting normal so it didn’t seem like an emergency, so he was seen in between patients as available, But this post states that it was an emergency and he was seen immediately. So which one is it? Because I surely wasn’t informed of this until 5 hours later. Shame on you. And to say that your staff is caring and passionate is yet another lie because they ignored my cries for help and mocked me a when I was leaving.

They let me request a doctor that my kitty was familiar with was very patient with me as I said goodbye today. I can’t thank them enough for the constant support they showed my mini panther (my black kitty) and how they talked to her through the whole thing.Kali greeted her doctor like an old friend which made me happy to have done my request. And one of the girls even took last pictures for me.
