After paying $109 to have my taxes prepared, they cost me $2,250 by entering a dependent wrong. They first offered to fix it for $309. $309 to fix THEIR mistake!!!! They did amend it for free, but 2 months later I'm still out $2,250 and they will not do anything about it. This is $2,250 that was taken out of my bank account. Not a refund I have yet to receive. Save your money and avoid their incompetence!!!

I would give HR block zero stars. I was told one thing and ended up paying over 500 for 2 years of filing and nothing was explained to me. I offered a coupon and was told it was to late they had closed out of that window.

My annual appointments last all of 15-20 minutes. Everyone in the office is friendly and welcoming, and Lodena, my tax preparer, is efficient, fast, thorough, professional, and fun to talk to. For me and for my needs, it's perfect.

Absolutely worst experience I have ever had with H&R block in the 5 YEARS of using them.1. I requested a specific tax pro that was close to me in case I needed to go to the office, but was passed along to another at the ashland branch and then passed on again!- I was passed through 3 different tax pros before someone actually started going through my taxes!2. Jacklyn H was super rude on the phone when she called me after I started getting very confused about why my taxes were taking so long and I was getting no responses.3. After telling her I would not allow her to raise her voice at me and be disrespectful she went over 2 weeks with no responses and then I check "My Block" and my taxes have vanished. "LINDA" the manager called me saying that I deleted my own taxes. Why on earth would I do that when I have messages upon messages and call after call of me trying to get through this tax season especially this close to the deadline!Very suspicious that after I told Jacklyn I wouldn't allow her to be disrespectful my taxes are deleted and she goes silent for 2 weeks and then I get accused of deleting my own taxes. And then I find after going though a different service today that I was supposed to be getting back way more than what H&R block said. Myself, my husband, my mother, father, brother, aunts, uncles and grandmother will no longer be doing business with H&R after how I've been treated this year. 5 years of spending over $100 every tax season to make sure I have 1 less thing to stress about and this is what I get....

I had to pull out my retirement to help myself survive after losing my job at JCP. My agent was very knowledgeable and helped me file this year. Very satisfied.
